This study sought to delineate the relationship between language use and social class among feminists in twodigitalmedia claimed to advocate women s rights namely Magdalene.coand indonesiafeminis.Datawere articles published in Magdalene.co and Instagram posts on indonesiafeminis from December 2020 to June 2021 and interpreted using Labov s (1996) theory in linguistic variation and social categories. The results demonstrate that language use in both platformscorrelatedwell withone group of authors social class but only partially with another group in addition to some anomaly. Equally using a formal register in their publication the two differed in how they addressed women issues. The prevalent use of I in Magdalene.co in addition to predominantly domestic matters and a primarily personal perspective suggest that it foregrounded individual agency. Meanwhile the ubiquitous use of we on indonesiafeminis atypical of the high class of their authors questions the very adequacy of the classic sociolinguistic finding in terms of correlation between language use and social class. More satisfactory explanations appear in the authors membership in certain language use practices that advocate lower-class women which has shaped the platform s identity as a proponent of women collective agency.
