Sumber data padapenelitianinisejumlah 29 teksceritapendekkaryasiswakelas X SMA Negeri 3 Malang.Teknikpengumpulan data berupateknikdokumentasi.Penelitianinimenggunakanpenelitisebagaiinstrumenutamadanmenggunakantabelanalisissebagaiinstrumenpendukung.Analisis data dilakukandengancaramelakukanreduksi data melakukaninterpretasiterhadap data memverifikasi data danmenariksimpulanterhadaptemuan data. Berdasarkanhasilpenelitianinisebagaiberikut.Pertama ditemukantigagayabahasamenggunakangayabahasaberdasarkanpilihan kata mencakupgayabahasatidakresmidangayabahasapercakapan gayabahasaberdasarkanstrukturkalimatmencakupgayabahasarepetisi gayabahasaberdasarkanlangsungtidaknyamaknameliputiliterasi asindenton polisindenton ellipsis eufemismus litotes pleonasmeatau tautology prolepsis atauantisipasi zeugma koreksioatauepanortosis danhiperboladangayabahasakiasanmencakuppersonifikasi prosopopoeia eponim sinekdoke danmetonimia. Short stories are the narratives carried by certain actors with the role background and stages and series of stories that depart from the imagination of the author so as to establish a story. One of the elements of the builder is the style of language plot and characterization. A story will not be separated from the style of language used by the author as well as a story can not be separated from the characters described. Characterization has a link with other intrinsic elements of the plot because the character of a plot can be understood and known through the appearance of a character in each series of events. This study aims to describe the language style plot and characterizations used by students. This research uses qualitative approach. The data in this research are excerpts of short story text of the students of class X of SMA Negeri 3 Malang related to the style of language plot and characterization. Sources of data in this study a number of 29 short story text of students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Malang. This study uses the researcher as the main instrument and uses the analytical table as the supporting instrument. Data analysis is done by reducing data interpreting data verifying data and drawing conclusions to data findings. Based on the research findings obtained three conclusions which also answered the focus of this research problem. First we find three styles of language that are used for language style based on good word choice using speech language style language style based on sentence structure either using repetition language style and language style based on the non-continuity of meaning using literasi asindenton polisindenton ellipsis Eufimismus litotes pleonasme or tautology prolepsis or anticipation zeugma correction or epanortosis and hyperbola. Second five patterns of development are found full pattern development uncomplicated path development pattern tapa climax development pattern uninterrupted path development pattern and flow pattern development are only introduction and conflict. Third found the development of patterning pattern namely the development of the pattern of main characters additional characters protagonists antagonists simple figures static figures and figures develop. Based on the conclusions the advice given in this study is as follows. First For students who want to develop short stories it is advisable to maintain the creativity in writing the resulting short story containing the elements of the style of beauty more attractive. In terms of flow stages students are advised to be more skilled in using the flow more interesting. Students are advised to keep improving diverse characterizations more interesting. Second Based on the results of short story text analysis on the aspects of the stages of the flow in this study Indonesian teachers are expected to make improvements in teaching short story text especially understanding the stages of the groove correctly and completely. Therefore it is good if material understanding sampling and practice can be done. Third For the next researcher is suggested to do similar research with subject of class X student of SMA Negeri 3 Malang with different type of work in order to know how the work of the students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Malang especially in writing skill.
