Abstract

ABSTRAK Ayu Widya Wijaya Baiq Lulu 2017. Implementation of the Local Content Curriculum (case study at SLB Penujak Lombok Tengah Regency). Department of Special Education. Undergraduate Thesis. Faculty of Educational Science State University of Malang. Advisors (1) Drs. Abdul Huda M.Pd (2) Dra. Sudarsini M.Pd Key words Local content curriculum Curriculum development the implementation of curriculum Local content are the curriculum activities developing the potential of the region adjusted with a distinctive and regional needs. Especially implementation of the curriculum in the special school is interested to be reviewed. The purpose of this research is to know and describe the implementation of local content curriculum in SLB Penujak in aspects of ( 1 ) curriculum development of local content curriculum ( 2 ) the implementation of local content curriculum ( 3 ) rating and follow-up and ( 4 ) and study factors that inhibits activities the implementation of curriculum. The research was done with a case study qualitative. The data collection was done by interviews observation and study documentation. The data technique analysis used is referring from opinion miles and hubernan there are 3 step used in the process data analysis as follows (1) reduction the reduction (2) the presentation of the display data and (3) a conclusion and verification of data (conclusion and drawing/verification ) To check the validity of data in this research using trianggulasi data and member check The research results showed that (1) curriculum development of local content curriculum was done with some components such as identifing local needs determining function curriculum determining material curriculum study a kind of local content the purpose of curriculum and the process of organizing (2) curriculum consist of the implementation of the materials preparation a method instructors facilities and infrastructure (3) assessment and follow-up in the form of a test and non-test while a follow-up in the form of cooperation with parties external to the school and ( 4 ) obstacles in the implementation of the less staff tools and materials motivation of students. Based on the research can be concluded that the special school Penujak had tried to implement curriculum of the process curriculum development the implementation of the assessment and follow-up though still several problems. From the conclusions above some recommendations are given as follows (1) Department of Education and Culture should create new policies to recruit lack of the theacher for the field of local content curriculum budget funds for curriculum local charge (2) Schools should further extend cooperative networks to promote the students work in SLB and utilize social media to mark students work (3) vocational teachers should make systematic planning for skills learning activities Curriculum creativity in managing skills activities so that students are not boring in learning.
