Keywords Developing Smart Flash Card Cognitive Group A. A Smart Flash Cards Media is a media that is designed by the researcher which has board-shaped with a size of 30x30 cm with a total of 10 pieces of coated and colorful board banner that has two sides of the front and back. The front side shows the image of numerous fruit along with the back side there is a picture and the name of a fruit that can be assembled in accordance with the theme of learning activities that will be carried out. This media aims to improve the cognitive ability of children in group A. Based on research conducted through observation of the process of cognitive learning Smart Flash Card Media has never been implemented on cognitive learning in group A at KB / TK An-Nur Sawojajar Malang. The purpose of research and development is to achieve and to produce instructional media in form of a Smart Flash Card that can be used as an alternative cognitive learning that is expected for children in group A and can be an attractive easy to do fun for children in schools so that children are more active in participating in learning activities particularly for cognitive area in recognizing the concept of numbers. The development was conducted based on Sugiyono (2008 334) model. The procedure for Smart Flash Cards Media for cognitive learning are (1) the potential and problems (2) data collection (3) the design of the product (4) validation of the design (5) revision of the design (6) product trials (7) the revision of the product (8) utility testing and (9) the revision of the product. The result for this Research and Development is in the form of Smart Media Flash Card with success criteria for 97.78% and the children are very capable in cognitive development. Lastly the conclusion of this research and development of by using Flash Media Card Smart can improve cognitive development for group A. It is advisable to that this development result also can be developed for the higher age group with adjustable difficulty levels.
