Skripsi Prodi S1 Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Jurusan Kependidikan Dasar dan Prasekolah Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Malang. Pembimbing (I) Dr. Muhana Gipayana M.Pd (II) Dra. Sukamti M.Pd. Kata kunci Teks Nonsastra Buku Siswa SMOG PIRLS. Pembelajaran Kurikulum 2013 di Sekolah Dasar (SD) menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis teks. Pembelajaran berbasis teks membuat siswa menggunakan bahasa tidak hanya dijadikan sebagai sarana komunikasi tetapi sebagai sarana mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir. Pembelajaran berbasis teks membutuhkan bacaan yang sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum dan pemahaman siswa. Tetapi ditemukan teks yang tidak sesuai dengan tingkat pemahaman siswa dan tingkatan pertanyaan yang kurang sesuai juga. Berkaitan dengan itu maka diperlukan pembahasan mengenai tingkat keterbacaan teks dan tingkatan pertanyaan teks non sastra dalam buku siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena pada penelitian ini menitik beratkan pada analisis teks yang berada di buku siswa kelas V SD dengan menggunakan SMOG dan PIRLS. Jenis penelitian deskriptif digunakan karena menggambarkan suatu kondisi dengan apa adanya berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang ada. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan urutan perencanaan memulai pengumpulan data pengumpulan data dasar pengumpulan data penutup dan melengkapi. Analisis data dimulai dari data collectian data display dan verification. Instrumen yang digunakan mengumpulkan data yaitu peneliti sendiri. Untuk menjaga keabsahan data dilakukan ketelitian atau kecermatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertama hanya ada 2 dari 29 teks nonsastra dalam buku siswa kelas V SD semester I yang sesuai dengan usia siswa kelas V SD atau 11 tahun berdasarkan kriteria SMOG kedua terdapat 9 dari 29 teks nonsastra dalam buku siswa kelas V SD semester I yang memiliki 4 tingkatan pertanyaan sesuai dengan PIRLS. Persentase tingkatan pertanyaan untuk low terdapat 2 teks yang sesuai persentase tingkat intermediate dan high tidak ada yang sesuai dan persentase tingkat advance terdapat 1 teks. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu tingkat pemahaman teks dalam buku siswa kelas V SD dengan persentase kesesuaian hanya 6 9% yang berarti sangat kurang sesuai. Tingkatan pertanyaan juga belum seluruh teks terdapat 4 tingkatan dan ersentase tingkatan pertanyaan pada 29 teks nonsastra dalam buku siswa kelas V SD semester I tidak sesuai dengan persentase ideal PIRLS. Peneliti memberi saran bagi (1) Penyusun buku untuk memperhatikan tingkat keterbacaan dalam penyusunan sebuah teks khususnya teks nonsastra dan tingkatan pertanyaanya (2) Guru harus memperhatikan tingkat keterbacaan dan tingkatan pertanyaan dari teks (3) Calon guru untuk lebih memahami pembelajaran berbasis teks di lapangan (4) Peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengambil sampel yang lebih luas dan (5) Prodi PGSD untuk memberikan saran dan masukan kepada pemerintah dalam penyusunan buku siswa kedepannya. ii Intansari Sita. 2018. Sukamti M.Pd Keywords Non-literary Text Student Book SMOG PIRLS. The 2013 Curriculum Learning in Elementary School uses text-based learning. Text-based learning enables students to use language not only as a means of communication but as a means of developing thinking skills. Text-based learning requires readings that match the curriculum demands and students understanding. However it was found that the text did not match the level of students understanding and the level of questions that were less appropriate as well. In relation to that it is necessary to discuss the level of legibility of text and the level of non-literary text questions in the students books in Primary School. The approach of this research using qualitative approach because in this research focuses on text analysis that is in the book grade V SD students using SMOG and PIRLS. This type of descriptive research is used because it describes a condition as it is based on existing facts. Data collection is done in order of planning initiating data collection basic data collection data collection cover and completion. Data analysis starts from collectian data display data and verification. The instrument used to collect data is the researchers themselves. To maintain the validity of the data accuracy or precision is made. The results show the first there are only 2 of 29 non-literary texts in the book grade V of the first grade of elementary school students corresponding to the age of grade V students of Elementary School or 11 years based on SMOG criteria second there are 9 of 29 nonsastra texts in the book of class V students SD semester I which has 4 levels of questions in accordance with PIRLS. Percentage of question level for low there are 2 corresponding text percentage of intermediate level and high none match and percentage of advance level there is 1 text. The conclusion of this research is the level of understanding of text in the book of grade V students of elementary school with the percentage of conformity is only 6.9% which means very less appropriate. The level of the question is also not the whole text there are 4 levels and percentage level of the question on 29 non-literary texts in the book of Grade V students of Grade I semester I do not match the ideal percentage of PIRLS. The researcher gives suggestions for (1) The author of the book to pay attention to the level of legibility in the preparation of a text especially the text of the nonsastra and its level of questioning (2) the teacher should consider the level of legibility and the level of questions of the text (3) Prospective teachers to better understand text-based learning in elementary school (4) The next researcher to take a broader sample and (5) Primary School Teacher Education Study Program to provide advice and input to the government in preparing student books in the future.
