Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal di MI Unggulan Darussalam Cangkring Ponggok Blitar diketahui bahwa siswa kelas IV semester II yang mencapai KKM adalah 15 siswa dari 32 siswa untuk mata pelajaran IPA. Dalam pembelajaran guru menggunakan metode konvensional yang memusatkan pembelajaran pada guru. Analisis hasil belajar secara dokumentatif menunjukan bahwa hanya 48% siswa yang mencapai KKM adapun KKM yang ditentukan adalah 70. Atas dasar masalah tersebut peneliti ingin menerapkan satu model kooperatif yaitu tipe STAD. Tujuannya agar ada peningkatan hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa setelah diterapkannya model tersebut. Model Kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) adalah model belajar yang dimulai dari penyajian materi secara singkat oleh guru kemudian siswa dikelompokkan secara heterogen setelah itu diadakan kuis untuk pemahaman siswa terhadap materi dan tahap terakhir adalah pemberian penghargaan terhadap kelompok yang mendapat skor terbaik di kelas. Lokasi penelitian ini di MI Unggulan Darussalam dengan mengambil subyek penelitian siswa kelas IV dengan jumlah 29 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 2 siklus dengan masing-masing siklus memiliki tahapan (1) Perencanaan tindakan (2) Pelaksanaan (3) Observasi (4) Analisis dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukkan bahwa ada perbaikan aktivitas guru aktivitas siswa dalam kelompok hasil belajar serta motivasi siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II.Peningkatan dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis angket motivasi belajar siswa sebelum penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD menunjukkan bahwa dari 29 siswa ada 18 siswa yang memiliki kategori cukup baik sedangkan 11 siswa memiliki kategori baik . Dan setelah diterapkannya pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD hasil analisis angket menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar yaitu dari 29 siswa ada 3 siswa yang mempunyai kategori Sangat Baik sedangkan 26 siswa memiliki kategori baik . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran benda dan sifatnya kelas IV yaitu nilai seluruh siswa (100%) telah mencapai KKM pada siklus II meningkat dari siklus I yang diketahui bahwa 8 siswa berhasil melampaui KKM dan 17 siswa belum mencapai KKM. Based on results of initial observation on MI Unggulan Darussalam Cangkring Ponggok Blitar it is known that 4th grade students of second semester who reach KKM are 15 students from 32 students for science subjects. In the learning teacher using conventional methods that focus on teacher learning. Analysis of study result in documentatively showed that only 48% of students achieving the KKM as of determined the KKM that is 70. On the basis of the problem researchers want to apply a cooperative model that is type STAD. The purpose is to increase student study result after the application of the model. The model of Cooperative type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) is a type of learning that starts from the presentation of the material in brief by the teacher and then students are grouped in heterogeneous after it held a quiz for the comprehension of the students against the material and the last stage is the award of the group that gets the best score in the classroom. The location of this research is in MI Unggulan Darussalam by taking research subject of 4th grade with 29 students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was conducted for 2 cycles with each cycle having stages (1) Action planning (2) Implementation (3) Observation (4) Analysis and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation and test. The results of research that has been carried out show that the repair activity of the teacher the student s activity in the group study result and the motivation of students in first cycle and second cycle. The increase can be seen from the results of questionnaire analysis of the learning motivation of students before the application of the cooperative learning type STAD showing that there are 18 students from 29 students who have the category good enough while the 11 students have the good category. And after implementing cooperative learning type STAD the result of questionnaire analysis showed an increase in learning motivation of 29 students there are 3 students who have a category of very good while 26 other students have the good category. Based on the results of this research then concluded that the application of the cooperative learning type STAD can improve student study result on the learning objects and the nature of 4th grade that is the value of all students (100%) have achieved the KKM on second cycle an increase from first cycle known that 8 students succeed beyond the KKM and 17 students
