Abstract

ABSTRAK Nurdiana Fivi A. 2017. The Improvement of the 4th Graders Students Learning Outcomes on the Theme Beautiful Diversity in My Country through the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Model at SDN 2 Sambirejo District of Trenggalek. Thesis Department of Education School and Pre School Faculty of Education Malang University. Advisor (I) Suminah S.Pd. M.Pd (II) Dra. Tri Murti S.Pd. M.Pd. Key words the improvement learning outcomes the team assisted individualization model The results of the observation process of learning on the theme Beautiful Diversity in My Country note that (1) teacher delivering only briefly and only give the task alone (2) teacher do not involve students actively (3) teacher do not use the media (4) teacher rarely use group method when teaching. As a result of (1) the students are less interested in and passive on the learning process (2) lack of interactions between students. The results of the test note that 17 of 24 students have not yet reached the specified KKM 74. This research aims to describe the implementation of the team assisted individualization model on the theme Beautiful Diversity in My Country of 4th graders students at SDN 2 Sambirejo and describe the improvement of the 4th graders students learning outcomes through implementation of the team assisted individualization model. The approach used was qualitative approaches and type of research is the Classroom Action Research. Research phases i.e. (1) planning (2) implementation (3) observation and (4) reflection. This research consists of two cycles each cycle consisting of two meetings. Data collection techniques are observation tests documentation and a personal note. The techniques of the data analysis performed are reduction of data presentation of data and conclusion. The percentage of teacher activity in cycle I of 84 5% with good criteria and improved in cycle II to 97% with very good criteria. The percentage of students activity in cycle I of 85 5% with good criteria and improved in cycle 2 to 96% with very good criteria. The learning outcomes students had improved from pre action until the cycle II. In the pre action percentage of 30% with very less criteria than improved in cycle I became 62.5% with quite criteria and cycle II increased to 81% with good criteria. Besides that affective aspect and psychomotor aspect also improved. Conclusions the implementation of team assisted individualization model can improve the teacher activity students activity and learning outcomes on the theme Beautiful Diversity in My Country of 4th graders students SDN 2 Sambirejo District of Trenggalek. Advice for teachers in using team assisted individualization model should provide motivation to cooperate with all the members of the group so that the learning objectives are achieved. For researchers in using team assisted individualization model to better learn the steps model well.
