Padahasilbelajarmenulisnarasisiswamendapatnilai di bawah rata-rata. Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmeningkatkanketerampilanmenuliskarangannarasipadasiswakelas IV melalui model Directed Writing Activity (DWA). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Tindakansecaragarisbesarterdapatempattahapan yaituperencanaan pelaksanaan pengamatan danrefleksi.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus pada tema Indahnya Negeriku dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Bareng 2 yang berjumlah 28 siswa.Pengumpulan data dilakukandenganmenggunakanteknikwawancara observasi dokumentasidantes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai keterampilanmenuliskarangannarasimelaluimodel Directed Writing Activity (DWA)meningkatmencapai 96% sedangkan keberhasilan tindakan guru meningkat dari nilai sebesar 84padasiklus I menjadi 100 pada siklus II. Hasilbelajarsiswadalammenuliskarangannarasimengalamipeningkatan. Padasaatpratindakanterdapat 12 siswaatau 42 8% yang tuntas. Padasiklus I terdapat 21 siswaatau 75% sudahtuntas. Kemudianpadasiklus II meningkatmenjadi 27 siswaatau 96% sudahtuntas.Sehinggapeningkatanketerampilanmenuliskarangannarasisiswatercapai. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut peneliti memberikan kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model Directed Writing Activity (DWA)dapat meningkatkan keterampilanmenuliskarangannarasipadasiswa kelas IV SDN Bareng 2 Kota Malang. Jumlahskor rata-rata siswameningkatpadasetiapsiklusnya. Model DWA dapatmeningkatkansemangatsiswadalammenulisnarasidanmelatihsiswauntukmendapatkanpengalamanlangsungmelaluilangkah-langkahmenulis. Saran yang diberikanyaituagar model pembelajaran ini dapat dipertimbangkan untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran menuliskarangannarasi. Hal tersebut sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam memilih dan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan keterampilanmenulissiswa. One type of written text produced by high-grade students especially the fourth graders is narrative text. Score result shoes that students skills in writing narrative is below the average. This research aims at developing narrative writing skills of the fourth graders using Directed Writing Activity (DWA) model. This study utilizes Classroom Action Research (CAR) research framework consists of four phases planning implementation observation and reflection. This study is conducted in two cycles on the theme IndahnyaNegerikuwith the research subject 28 fourth-grade students of SDN Bareng 2. Data collection technique includes interview observation documentation and test. Research result shows that narrative writing skillsis increased up to 96% using Directed Writing Activity (DWA) model while teacher s action success rate increased from 84 in cycle I to 100 in cycle II. Students scores in writing narrative text increased as pre-action state showed 12 students or 42.8% who passed. The rate increased in cycle II to 27 students or 96%. Therefore the development of narration writing ability is achieved. Based on the explanation the researcher concludes that the implementation of Directed Writing Activity (DWA) is able to increase narrative writing skillsfor fourth graders in SDN Bareng 2 Malang City. The mean of students score has increased in each cycle. DWA model may pump up the students motivation to write narrative and train them to have the real experience in writing activity. Suggestion is given to consider this learning model to be implemented in narrative writing learning. It can be used as an alternative to increase students writing skills.
