ABSTRAK Muhammad Halfi Indra Syahputra 2017. Pembelajaran Hotel System dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Kompetensi Front Office Pada Program Studi Keahlian Akomodasi Perhotelan di Sumatera Utara. Kata Kunci pembelajaran hotel system kompetensi front office motivasi berprestasi front office Tujuan penelitian adalah sebagai berikut 1) profil unit kompetensi front office yang sesuai jenjang pekerjaan menurut stakeholder 2) mengembangkan media pembelajaran hotel system untuk pembelajaran kompetensi front office di SMK 3) mengetahui perbedaan pencapaian kompetensi front office antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol 4) mengetahui perbedaan motivasi berprestasi tinggi pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol 5) mengetahui interaksi antara pembelajaran hotel system dan motivasi berprestasi 6) mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran hotel system dalam meningkatkan kompetensi front office di SMK. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII SMK Negeri 7 Medan berjumlah 2 kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik simple sampling dan mengambil 2 kelas yang tersedia. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan pengembangan oleh Gall Gall dan Borg dilanjutkan penelitian quasi experimental dengan cara Nonequivalent Control Group Design kemudian analisis data menggunakan Anava Faktorial 2 2. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa 1) profil unit kompetensi front office yang sesuai jenjang pekerjaan menurut stakeholder 2) pengembangan pembelajaran hotel system menyesuaikan operasional yang memiliki relevansi dengan pekerjaan di front office dan kriterianya sesuai tujuan pembelajaran 3) kelompok siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih unggul dari siswa pada kelas kontrol 4) kelompok siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi tinggi lebih unggul dari siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi rendah 5) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kompetensi front office 6) pembelajaran berbasis hotel system sangat efektif terutama untuk siswa dengan motivasi berprestasi rendah. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ada beberapa hal yang dapat disampaikan sebagai berikut 1) pembelajaran hotel system memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi front office 2) pembelajaran hotel system berguna untuk mengembangkan kemampuan siswa 3) perlu dipertimbangkan melakukan tes motivasi berprestasi siswa sebelum melakukan pembelajaran untuk mengetahui posisi awal pembelajaran yang dilakukan sehingga sekolah memiliki database tentang motivasi berprestasi siswa yang dapat digunakan sebagai data untuk meningkatkan mutu sekolah 5) agar dapat memberikan pelatihan/workshop kepada guru SMK yang berhubungan dengan front office 6) temuan ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi untuk penelitian yang berhubungan dengan pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi di front office. Key Words hotel system learning front office competence front office achievement motivation The objectives of the research are as follows 1) profile of front office competence unit according to stakeholder level 2) developing learning media of hotel system for front office competence learning in vocational school 3) knowing difference of achievement of front office competence between experimental group and control group 4) to know the difference of high achievement motivation in experimental group and control group 5) to know the interaction between learning system hotel and achievement motivation 6) to know effectiveness of hotel system learning in improving front office competence in SMK. The population of the study was the students of class XII of VSS State 7 Medan. The sample of the study was determined by simple sampling technique and took 2 classes available. The research method was done by development approach by Gall Gall and Borg followed by quasi-experimental research which was design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design remain data analysis using Anava Factorial 2 2. Based on the research the result shows that 1) the profile of front office competency units according to stakeholders 2) the development of hotel system learning adjust the operational that has relevance to the work in the front office and the criteria according to the learning objectives 3) the group of students in the experimental class more (5) there is interaction between learning model and achievement motivation toward front office competency 6) hotel-based learning system is very effective especially for students with high achievement motivation. For students with low achievement motivation. Based on the research findings there are several things that can be addressed as follows 1) hotel system learning contribute significantly to front office competence 2) hotel system learning is used to develop student s ability 3) to consider doing motivation test of student achievement before doing learning To find out the starting position of the learning so the school has a database of student achievement motivation that can be used as data to improve the quality of school 5) in order to provide training / workshop to VSS teachers related to the front office 6) this finding can be used as reference to research which deals with competency-based learning at the front office.
