Kata Kunci Model pembelajaran biologi problem based learning dalihan na tolu sikap sosial kreativitas ilmiah kemampuan kognitif Model pembelajaran merupakan aspek penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran Biologi. Kompetensi yang harus dicapai pembelajaran biologi pada Kurikulum 2013 mencakup tiga ranah yaitu sikap keterampilan dan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini berfokus terhadap pengembangan model Problem Based Learning berpola Dalihan Na Tolu (PBL DNT) yang dapat mengembangkan sikap sosial sebagai kompetensi di ranah sikap kreativitas ilmiah sebagai bagian dari kompetensi keterampilan dan kemampuan kognitif biologi sebagai kompetensi pengetahuan. Model PBL DNT merupakan model pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan sistem sosial budaya Batak. Pengembangan model mengacu pada penelitian desain Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu (1) preliminary research (2) prototyping dan (3) assessment. Kualitas produk dari pengembangan model tersebut mengacu pada Nieveen yaitu kevalidan kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Uji kevalidan model PBL DNT perangkat pembelajaran (Silabus RPP dan LKS) dan instrumen-instrumen pendukung dilakukan oleh validator. Uji kepraktisan diperoleh melalui keterlaksanaan model melalui implementasi di kelas uji coba I dan kelas uji coba II sedangkan uji keefektifan diperoleh melalui implementasi model PBL DNT untuk melihat keefektifan model tersebut terhadap sikap sosial kreativitas ilmiah kemampuan kognitif biologi siswa aktivitas siswa dan respon siswa di kelas uji coba I dan kelas uji coba II. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) model PBL DNT perangkat pembelajaran dan instrumen-instrumen pendukung dinyatakan valid (2) hasil uji kepraktisan pada kelas uji coba I menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan model PBL DNT telah memenuhi kriteria sudah terlaksana namun untuk melihat kekonsistenan hasil tersebut perlu dilakukan uji coba II (3) hasil uji keefektifan pada uji coba I belum memenuhi kriteria keefektifan sehingga perlu dilakukan uji coba II. Hasil uji coba II menunjukkan bahwa semua indikator keterlaksanaan model telah tercapai demikian juga dengan tingkat keefektifan model PBL DNT terhadap sikap sosial kreativitas ilmiah kemampuan kognitif aktivitas dan respon siswa telah memenuhi kriteria keefektifan. Oleh karena itu model PBL DNT yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria kualitas produk yang valid yaitu model pembelajaran didukung oleh rasional teoritis yang kuat praktis yaitu model mudah dilaksanakan secara baik di lapangan dan efektif yaitu model memberikan dampak yang efektif terhadap kualitas pembelajaran (sikap sosial kreativitas ilmiah dan kemampuan kognitif biologi siswa) pencapaian persentase waktu ideal aktivitas siswa dan respons siswa terhadap model positif. Keywords biology learning model learning dalihan na tolu social attitudes scientific creativity cognitive skills Learning model is an important aspect that needs a lot of attention in achieving goals of biology learning. According to Curriculum 2013 biology learning should cover three competency domains attitude skills and knowledge. The focus of this study was the development of a Problem Based Learning model on Dalihan Na Tolu (PBL DNT) which can improve students attitude by developing their social skills improve students skills by developing their scientific creativity and improve students knowledge by developing their cognitive skills. PBL DNTmodel integrates Bataknese social systems into learning. The development of this learning model went through three steps suggested by Plomp including (1) preliminary research (2) prototyping dan (3) assessment. In line with Nieveen s the quality of the product was assessed in terms of its validity practicality and effectiveness. PBL DNT learning tools (Syllabus Lesson Plans and Student Worksheets) and research instruments were validated by some experts. The model was tried out to two groups of students to measure its practicality. Furthermore the effectiveness of the model was examined through the implementation of the model in a classroom to see the extent to which the model affected students social attitudes scientific creativity and cognitive skills. The results of this study show that (1) PBL DNT learning tools and research instruments were valid (2) the results of the practicality test indicated that the implementation of PBL DNT in tryout class I achieved the criteria of success however it was necessary to conduct tryout II to examine the consistency of the results (3) the results of the effectiveness test of tryout class I did not meet the criteria of product effectiveness so that it was important to carry out tryout II. The results of tryout II showed that the implementation of PBL DNT was effective in improving students social attitudes scientific creativity cognitive skills activities and responses. Therefore PBL DNT model has been proven valid which means that the learning model has been supported by strong theoretical rationals it has been considered practical since it was feasible and it is effective because it has brought positive impacts to learning (social attitudes scientific creativity and cognitive skills). The students were able to accomplish the tasks in the ideal time and they could provide positive responses towards the implementation of the learning model.
