Kata Kunci discovery learning lingkungan sekitar pemahaman konsep keaktifan Penelitian ini bertujan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh discovery learning berbasis lingkungan sekitar terhadap pemahaman konsep ditinjau dari keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penerapan discovery learning berbasis lingkungan dapat membatu peserta didik untuk menemukan pemahaman konsep ekosistem berdasarkan informasi yang ditemukan sendiri melalui pengamatan secara langsung di lingkungan sekitar. Keaktifan peserta didik dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran discovery learning menciptakan kondisi pembelajaran yang terpusat pada peseta didik. Pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan hasil pemahaman konsep menjadi meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretets-posttest group. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan model factorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 34 peserta didik kelas V SDN 135 Salebbo Mario Sulawesi Selatan Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Instrumen divalidasi ahli dan empiris serta dicari reliabilitas tingkat kesukaran soal dan daya beda soal. Soal tes pilihan ganda digunakan untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep peserta didik dan lembar observasi digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat keaktifan peserta didik. Data yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini selanjutnya diuji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji prasyarat untuk melakukan uji hipotesis. Uji hipotesis yang dingunakan merupakan uji two way anova. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh discovery learning berbasis lingkungan sekitar terhadap pemahaman konsep ekosistem peserta didik. (2) terdapat pengaruh keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep ekosistem peserta didik. (3) terdapat interaksi antara discovery learning berbasis lingkungan sekitar dan keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep ekosistem peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka diberikan saran pada tenaga pendidik dan peneliti yang ingin mengkaji variabel yang sejenis. Kepada tenaga pendidik khususnya guru sekolah dasar untuk menerapakan discovery learning berbasis lingkungan sekitar sebagai solusi melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang efektif guna meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Keywords discovery learning environment concept understanding aliveness These findings rain to explain the impact of environment-based discovery learning on conceptual understanding of learning activity in the learning process. The application of environment-based discovery learning can help learners find an understanding of the ecosystem concept based on information they find through direct observation in the environment. Activity learners in implementing learning process discovery learning create a learning condition that is centered on peseta students. Learning becomes more meaningful and the concepts of understanding become more and more. This research is a quasi-experimental research using pretest-posttest group design. The research design uses 2x2 factorial models. The subjects consisted of 34 grade V students SDN 135 Salebbo Mario South Sulawesi lessons year 2017/2018. Instrument validated experts and empirical looking for reliability difficulty problem and different problem power. The multiple choice test is used to measure students understanding of concepts and observational sheets are used to measure the liveliness of learners. The data obtained in this study then tested normality and homogeneity as a prerequisite for conducting hypothesis testing. The hypothesis test used is a two-way ANOVA test. The results of this study indicate that (1) environmental discovery learning has an impact on the understanding of the concept of ecosystem learners. (2) There is an influence of the learners activity in the learning process on the understanding of the learner of the ecosystem concept. (3) There is an interaction between on-the-ground learning and learning activity in the learning process to understand the concept of the learning ecosystem. Based on the results of this study hints were then given to educators and researchers who want to study similar variances. For educators especially primary school teachers it is important to use the discovery learning environment as a solution to implement an effective learning process to improve the quality of education. For other researchers wishing to conduct similar research the results of this study may be a reference for further research
