ABSTRAK Susetyo Bigharta Bekti. 2017. Pengaruh Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Outdoor Adventure Education terhadap Kecerdasan Spasial Geografi dan Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi. Tesis. Kata Kunci Problem based learning outdoor adventure education kecerdasan spasial berfikir tingkat tinggi Kecerdasan spasial merupakan salah satu keterampilan berfikir dalam geografi. Indikator kecerdasan spasial berkaitan dengan penjabaran konsep dasar prinsip dan pendekatan geografi. Mahasiswa seharusnya mengaplikasikan kecerdasan spasial geografi yang sudah dipelajari pada jenjang perkuliahan. Hal tersebut menjadi penting selain mengaplikasikan cara berfikir geografi namun juga meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan. Tujuan peneliti untuk (1) Mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Outdoor Adventure Education terhadap kecerdasan spasial geografi (2) Mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Outdoor Adventure Education terhadap berfikir tingkat tinggi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang tergolong dalam penelitian eksperimen semu (quasy experiment). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Malang Offering B dan K. Penentuan kelas penelitian berdasarkan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar mata kuliah pengantar geografi dan sistem informasi geografi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi observasi dan tes essai kecerdasan spasial geografi dan berfikir tingkat tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Outdoor Adventure Education berpengaruh terhadap Kecerdasan Spasial Geografi dan (2) pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Outdoor Adventure Education berpengaruh terhadap berfikir tingkat tinggi. Pada pembelajaran di lapangan juga ditemukan beberapa temuan yang berkaitan dengan kecerdasan spasial geografi dan berfikir tingkat tinggi. Kecerdasan spasial geografi berkaitan dengan keterampilan geografi dan etika lingkungan. Berfikir tingkat tinggi berkaitan dengan literasi informasi dan problem solving. Saran dari penelitian ini diantaranya adalah pembelajaran di geografi hendaknya menggunakan Problem Based Learning berbasis Outdoor Adventure Education karena dapat mengasah kecerdasan spasial dan berfikir tingkat tinggi mengembangkan penelitian korelasi antar keduanya dan mengembangkan penelitian literasi geografi yang lebih komprehensif. Spatial thinking indicator have a conection with geographical essentials concept principle and geographical approach. Students have to applied it in whole of learning geography. Geography spatial thinking is important to enhance geography student skill beside improve of high order thinking skill. The reseach has two goals. There are (1) to approve effect of Problem Based Learning with Outdoor Adventure Education to geography spatial thinking (2) to approve effect of Problem Based Learning with Outdoor Adventure Education to high order thinking. Thats goal got from statistic analysis. Type of this reseach is experiment reseach quasy experiment category. Subject of this reseach are students of B and K class of Education Geography Sosial Science Faculty State University of Malang. Class of this reseach according lessons mark average of geographical introduction and geography information systems. Technique of collecting data with documentation observation and five essay test of geography spatial thinking and high order thinking. The reseach has two result. Result of this reseach are (1) Problem Based Learning with Outdoor Adventure Education has effect geography spatial thinking and (2) Problem Based Learning with Outdoor Adventure Education has effect high order thinking. According at field findings there are another result beside hipotesis. Geography spatial thinking have connection with geographycal skill dan environment ethics. High order thinking have connection with literation information and problem solving. Suggestion from this reseach are to exploring Problem Based Learning and Outdoor Adventure Education in Geography Education exploring corelation between geography spatial thinking dan high order thinking. Make a comprehensive field work task due to enhance geography spatial thinking and literation information.
