Abstract

ABSTRACT Ningsih Mega Prani. 2016. The Implementation of Teachers Professional Education Programs for Building Geography Teachers Competence (Multi Site Study in UM and UNESA to SM3T Alumnus). Thesis Geography Education Department Post Graduate Program State University of Malang. Consultant (I) Prof. Dr. Ach. Fatchan M.Pd. M.P. (II) Dr. Singgih Susilo M.S. Keyword PPG SM3T Geography teachers competence The teacher competences has been a problem education in Indonesia especially in 3T regions (frontline outermost and underdeveloped regions). SM3T programs is one of government policy for accelerating education in the 3T region and continues with the PPG SM3T programs for one year. Geography teachers is a part of educator who follow this program and is required to have academic qualifications relevant and competence. The implementation of PPG SM3T programs in East Java is done at UM and UNESA which having excellence as the LPTK. However the implementation both UM and UNESA have suffered a problems related with stages and activitiess implementation. The purpose of the research are (1) Explaining the implementation stages of PPG SM3T programs which held in UM and UNESA for building geografi teachers competence and (2) Explaining the form of PPG SM3T programs which held in UM and UNESA. This research is qualitative research that using multi site design. The informan of this research are geography teachers (alumnus) and management of PPG SM3T programs who selected by their existence or conditio sain quanon. The data collecting techniques by in-depth interview and documentation. Data analysis using interactive model Miles Huberman which using two step they are one-site analysis and cross-site analysis. The result of the research shows that (1) The implementation stages of PPG SM3T Program at UM and UNESA was suffering a modification on each stage which consists of developping of syllabus preconditions and learning systems. The syllabus development stage is done through workshops by involving the internal and external parties of Geography Education Departemen. The preconditions stage done in conjunction with the plenary stage 1. The learning systems stages are modified into the the following stage Plenary 2 group discussion working group or independent a combination of plenary 3 revision and approval of the RPP formative exams KKL/PPL and scientific paper. The stage of PPL consists of PPL student submission by representatives from PPG to SMA partners conducting teaching and non-teaching self-development and doing PTK research PPL student pick-up by representatives from PPG of SMA partner and performance test through Lesson Study. The stage of Competency test consists of UTL the deepening of material test and UTN. The stage whisch apply modified is the program managing. Every stage directed to be able to build pedagogical personality social and professional competence of geography teacher. (2) This research found an implementation of PPG SM3T Program at UM and UNESA into the findings a new models who called Model Kolaboratif. This model has excellence and weakness so that its implementations need to get proper test and each LPTK orgenizer should be adapt the stage and practices which is done.
