Sejalan dengan pesatnya pertumbuhan pengguna internet di Indonesia maka kebutuhan bandwith dan perkembangan infrastruktur jaringan juga mengalami peningkatan hal ini harus berbanding lurus dengan tersedianya sumberdaya manusia yang kompeten di bidang telekomunikasi khususnya teknik instalasi fiber optik. Sekolah menengah kejuruan perlu menyikapi keadaan ini sehingga mampu memberikan bekal keterampilan dan pengetahuan agar lulusannya menjadi tenaga kerja yang produktif. Menanggapi hal tersebut dibentuklah lembaga sertifikasi profesi yang berfungsi memberikan pelatihan spesifik serta sertifikat keahlian berstandar nasional sehingga lulusannya mampu bersaing di dunia kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji serta menganalisis tentang pengaruh nilai ujian nasional sarana prasarana laboratorium kemampuan mengajar guru dan nilai mata pelajaran sistem telekomunikasi terhadap pencapaian kompetensi teknik instalasi fiber optik serta implikasinya pada kinerja lulusan di dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan ilmu manajemen sumber daya manusia yang dikombinasikan dengan teori-teori pendidikan kejuruan dan pelatihan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah descriptive verificative dan explanatory survey dengan unit analisis adalah alumni SMK Telkom Malang yang telah memperoleh sertifikat kompetensi dari lembaga sertifikasi profesi dibidang fiber optik dengan unit observasi adalah TUK Moklet Malang dan PT. Telkom Akses region Jawa Timur. Proses pengambilan data menggunakan angket performance list dimana telah divalidasi oleh pakar ahli. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja lulusan dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh pencapaian kompetensi dengan kontribusi sebesar 71.9% sedangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pencapaian kompetensi yang paling dominan adalah sarana prasarana dengan kontribusi sebesar 36.24% dan kemampuan mengajar guru merupakan faktor yang paling kecil memberikan pengaruh terhadap pencapaian kompetensi dibidang teknik instalasi fiber optik dengan kontribusi sebesar 12.82%. With the rapid growth of Internet users in Indonesia the bandwidth requirements and the development of network infrastructure also increased this should be directly accompanied by the availability of skilled human resources in the field of tele communications particularly the techniques of fiber optic installation. Therefore secondary vocational schools need to address this situation to provide the required skills and knowledge so that graduates become productive workers. Responding to that situation professional certification institutions which serves to provide specific training as well as a professional certificate have been established so that graduates are able to compete in the industrial work. The purpose of this study was to determine review and analyze the influence of the national exam laboratory infrastructure teaching competence and the score on specific lesson (telecommunication system) to the achievement of fiber optic instalation competence and its impact on the graduates performance in industrial world. This research uses human resources management science approach and is combined with theories of vocational education and training. This research is descriptive verificative and explanatory survey with the unit of analysis is the graduates of SMK Telkom Malang who has obtained the certificate of professional competence from certification institution in the field of fiber optics the observation unit is TUK Moklet Malang and PT. Telkom Access East Java region. The retrieval of data is using questionnaires performance list which has been validated by expert. This research data analysis techniques is using path analysis. The results showed that the performance of graduates is significantly affected by the achievement of competence with contribution 71.9% in which infrastructure are the most dominant to influence on the achievement of competence with contribution 36.24% while the and teaching competence has the smallest proportion to influence on the achievement of competence in the field of fiber optics with contribution 12.82%.
