ABSTRAK Suryanto. 2009. Hubungan Pengalaman Diklat/Penataran Pengalaman Kerja dan Kemampuan Profesional dengan Kinerja Guru SMK di Kota Blitar. Tesis Program Studi Pendidikan Kejuruan Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Malang. Pembimbing (1) Prof. Dr. Haris Anwar Syafrudie M.Pd. (2) Drs. Ir. I Wayan Jirna MT. Kata kunci pengalaman diklat/penataran pengalaman kerja kemampuan profesional kinerja guru. Diklat/penataran adalah sebuah kegiatan yang dilakukan secara sadar dan terencana sebagai usaha untuk meningkatkan mutu tenaga kependidikan (guru). Semakin sering seorang guru mengikuti diklat/penataran maka cenderung akan semakin meningkat kemampuannya. Pengalaman kerja berhubungan erat dengan tugas-tugas guru sebagai pendidik pembimbing pembina peserta didik dan lamanya bekerja/masa kerja. Semakin sering guru mengikuti program diklat/penataran dan semakin berpengalaman dalam melaksanakan tugas sehari-hari maka akan meningkatkan kemampuan profesionalnya. Kinerja akan tercapai dengan baik apabila aktivitas guru mencakup tiga aspek yaitu perilaku efektivitas dan hasil. Perilaku menunjukkan kegiatan-kegiatan dalam mencapai tujuan efektivitas merupakan langkah-langkah dalam pertimbangan dan hasil yang merupakan prestasi kerja organisasi yang menekankan proses pekerjaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji hubungan pengalaman diklat/penataran pengalaman kerja dan kemampuan profesional dengan kinerja guru SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) di Kota Blitar. Populasi sebanyak 341 orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 172 orang yang ditetapkan secara purposif proporsional random. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) variabel pengalaman diklat/penataran termasuk kategori baik. Pengalaman diklat/penataran memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap tugas-tugas guru dan mampu mengubah perilaku guru dalam proses pembelajaran (2) variabel pengalaman kerja pada umumnya cenderung baik. Pengalaman kerja memberikan pengaruh yang cukup tinggi terhadap tugas pokok guru sebagai pendidik pembimbing pembina serta mampu meningkatkan kesungguhan dalam bekerja (3) variabel kemampuan profesional pada umumnya termasuk kategori baik. Kemampuan profesional memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap kecakapan guru dalam melaksanakan tugas profesinya (4) kinerja guru pada umumnya termasuk kategori baik. Kinerja guru memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap prestasi kerja pencapaian kerja unjuk kerja penampilan kerja dan hasil kerja yang berhubungan dengan tugas-tugas guru di sekolah (5) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman diklat/penataran dengan pengalaman kerja sebesar 0 160 dengan kekuatan hubungan yang lemah sekali (6) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman diklat/penataran dengan kemampuan profesional sebesar 0 404 dengan kekuatan hubungan yang sedang (7) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman kerja dengan kemampuan profesional sebesar 0 367 dengan kekuatan hubungan yang lemah (8) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman diklat/penataran dengan kinerja guru sebesar 0 485 dengan kekuatan hubungan yang sedang (9) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman kerja dengan kinerja guru sebesar 0 260 dengan kekuatan hubungan yang lemah dan (10) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan profesional dengan kinerja guru sebesar 0 726 dengan kekuatan hubungan yang kuat. Saran yang diajukan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) agar tetap diadakan kegiatan diklat/penataran yang dirancang dan diorganisir dengan baik sehingga mampu mengubah perilaku guru dalam proses pembelajaran (2) agar guru SMK menambah pengalaman kerja dalam melaksanakan tugas kesehariannya dengan cara memberikan tugas tambahan seperti bimbingan penyuluhan guru piket jabatan pada struktur organisasi sekolah bahkan perlu membangun hubungan dengan orang tua siswa dan masyarakat (3) agar guru SMK berupaya lebih maksimal meningkatkan kemampuan profesionalnya dengan cara memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap kecakapan yang dikuasai dalam melaksanakan tugas profesinya (4) hendaknya guru SMK meningkatkan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap prestasi kerja pencapaian kerja unjuk kerja penampilan kerja dan hasil kerja yang berhubungan dengan tugas-tugas guru di sekolah yang pada akhirnya akan dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dan hasil belajar siswa. Working experience closely related to teachers duties as educators guides students elders and their working period. The more teachers participate in education and training/upgrading programs the more they will be able to perform their daily tasks that in turn their professional ability will increase. Teacher s performance is working achievement show performance and result related to teacher tasks at school. Performance will be well-achieved if teacher s activities involving three aspects namely behavior efficacy and result. Behavior show activities to reach goals efficacy is steps in consideration and result is organizational working achievement emphasizing working processes. This research aims at examining the relationship of education and training/upgrading experiences working experiences and professional abilities and teacher s performances of Vocational School in Blitar. The population which is 341 people. The sample of research is 172 people is determined by random proportional purposively. Data is then analyzed by correlational analysis technique. Findings shows that (1) variable of education and training/upgrading experience is in the good category. Education and training/upgrading experience gives higher influence toward teachers tasks and are able to change the teacher s behavior in the teaching process (2) variable of working experience generally tend to be good. Working experience gives a higher influence toward teacher s main tasks as educator guide elder and be able to improve their persistence in working (3) variable of professional ability is in the good category. Professional ability gives higher influence toward teacher s skill in performing their professional tasks (4) variable of teacher s performance generally is in the good category. Teacher s performance gives higher influence toward working achievement show performance and result related to teacher s tasks at school and (5) there is a positive relationship and significant between education and training/upgrading and working performance which is 0.160 with the strength of relationship is very weak (6) there is a positive relationship and significant between education and training/upgrading experience and professional ability which is 0.404 with the strength of relationship is moderate (7) there is a positive relationship and significant between working experience and professional ability which is 0.367 with the strength relationship is very weak (8) there is a positive relationship and significant between education and training/upgrading experience and teacher s performance which is 0.485 with the strength relationship is moderate (9) there is a positive relationship and significant between working experience and teacher s performance which is 0.260 with the strength relationship is very weak and (10) there is a positive relationship and significant between professional ability and teacher s performance which is 0.726 with the strength of relationship is strong. Several suggestions is (1) education and training/upgrading activities designed and organized should be well conducted continuously so that they may change teacher s performance in the learning process (2) Vocational School teachers should improve working experience in performing their daily tasks such as elucidation guidance guarding teachers position in the school organization structure and even need to build the relationship among parents students and community (3) Vocational School teachers should try maximally to improve their professional abilities by giving higher influence toward the mastered skills in performing their professional tasks and (4) Vocational School teachers should improve the higher influence toward working achievement show performance and result related to teacher s tasks at schools which in turn will improve teacher s performance and students achievement.
