And so 2013 curriculum it wants to implement the integrated science instructional for achieving the balance between cognitive affective and psychomotor aspects both in school and in society. However The results of analysis to the teacher s lesson plans and survey in SMPN 2 Jember shows that the science instructional process still uses speech method and emphasizes more in cognitive aspect achievement by memorizing some concepts and rules. 12288 12288 12288 12288 The research aims to (1) produce the science instructional materials for SMP based on salingtemas and guided inquiry to build the integrated understanding of students through acquiring cognitive aspect psychomotor process and scientific attitude (2) know the validity and reliability levels of the instructional materials namely Syllabus Lesson Plans (RPP) Assessment Instruments and Students Worksheet (LKPD). 12288 12288 12288 12288 The research uses 4D model development research design from Thiagarajan (1974) but it is limited only to the level of develop. The product of the instructional materials is validated by the expert in the instructional materials the expert in the subject the science teacher and then it is implemented to development testing in order to know the validity of and the reliability of cognitive questions and the readability of LKPD in the VIIID class and also to know the implementable of and the effectiveness of the instructional in the VIIIE class. 12288 12288 12288 12288 The average score of validation evaluative from the experts to syllabus is 3 79 to RPP is 3 71 to cognitive assessment instrument is 3 80 to psychomotor process in science is 3 60 to scientific attitude is 3 78 and to LKPD is 3 81. It means that the product of the science instructional materials has categorized sufficiently valid. The development test result in class VIIID shows that the evaluative average score of readability to LKPD is 3 31. It means that LKPD has qualified sufficiently valid. The reliability score of the multiple choices questions on movement system theme is 0 68 and on simple machine theme is 0 48. The reliability testing of cognitive questions in the form of essay on movement system theme has alpha coefficient score in the amount of 0 63 and on simple machine theme is in the amount of 0 82. It means that the cognitive questions in the form of multiple choices and essay are valid and reliable. 12288 12288 12288 12288 The observation result shows that the science instructional based on salingtemas and guided inquiry in the VIIIE class is able to be implemented well and effectively in line with the expectations of 2013 curriculum. It is proven by the increase of the psychomotor process and students scientific attitude in every meeting the students cognitive learning result that is getting classical learning thoroughness in the amount of 86 84% the students positive responses (94 74%) to the implemented instructional. 12288 12288 12288 12288 This research suggests that the product of the instructional materials should be applied and implemented in the real classical learning process in all schools applied to the class action research or the quasi-experimental to see some specific variables developed on the themes having the similar characteristics with the themes of motion systems and simple machines developed on grade VII and IX and also developed by collaborating with other method/models in order to get more variety products.
