Kata kunci : Model project based learning, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, keterampilan proses sains. Rancangan strategi belajar di SMK perlu memperhatikan cara siswa dalam belajar. Kebermaknaan belajar ditandai dengan kemampuan menyelesaikan berbagai variasi masalah dengan baik. Model project based learning dapat mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah secara ilmiah. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa berperan penting dalam keterampilan proses sains. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh model project based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan keterampilan proses sains fisika di SMK. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain menggunakan posttest-only control group design. Popoulasi adalah semua siswa kelas X yang terdiri atas 17 kelas dengan 7 jurusan, pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh 3 kelas eksperimen dan 3 kelas kontrol. Kelas ekperimen dibelajarkan dengan model project based learning sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol dibelajarkan dengan model konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan instrumen keterampilan proses sains, serta instrumen perlakuan berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) materi momentum dan impuls. Uji prasyarat normalitas data dan homogenitas varian dilakukan sebelum pengujian hipotesis. Uji normalitas menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan uji homogenitas varian menggunakan uji LeveneÔÇÖs Test Equality. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan mode project based learning dan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model konvensional , (2) kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa yang menggunakan model project based learning lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model konvensional (3) keterampilan proses sains siswa yang menggunakan model project based learning lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model konvensional. Meaningfulness of learning is characterized by students capability in solving varians probolem. The project based learning model can develop students' capability to solve problems scientifically. Student problem-solving skills play an important role in the skills of the science process. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of project based learning model on problem solving skills and physics process science skills in SMK. This research type is quasi experiment with design using posttest-only control group design. The subjects of this study are the students of class X SMK Negeri 2 Bangkalan consisting of 30 students per class. The class selection was then randomized to three experimental classes to apply the learning with the PBL model and three control classes to apply the learning with the conventional model. Instrument used consisted of instrument of data collection that is instrument of problem solving capability test and instrument of science process skill, and instrument of treatment in the form of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) material of momentum and impulse. The prerequisite test of data normality and variant homogeneity is performed before hypothesis testing. Normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and homogeneity test of variance using Levene's Test Equality test. Hypothesis testing using MANOVA. The result of the research shows that: (1) there is significant influence on problem solving capability and science process skill between students who learn to use project based learning mode and students who learn to use conventional model, (2) student physics problem solving capability using project based model Learning is higher than students learning using conventional models (3) students' science process skills using project based learning models are higher than students learning using conventional models.
