Effendi Kadarisman Ph.D Keywords developing a model extensive reading material web-based extensive reading This study is aimed at developing a prototype of web-based extensive reading online course to meet the future of an extensive reading program for Elementary School Teacher Training Department Students of University of Muhammdiyah Malang. Thus the final product of this study is an interactive learning web-based extensive reading using the internet connection particularly utilizing Edmodo application. This study was conducted at University of Muhammadiyah Malang the subjects of the study are students of Elementary Teacher Training Department. The data were collected through questionnaire interview and expert judgment sheets. The prototype is suited to the features of an extensive reading program that has been discussed in the background of study because of four reasons The prototype of the course consists of a library covering of varied reading materials with various levels of difficulty the post reading activities are various challenging and helpful to students reading improvement the product allows teachers to control and manage students work for the purpose of assessment last the product is completed with teacher s guidelines. The study used a research design of Borg and Gall (1983) by adapting the development model of Lee and Owens (2004). The product was validated by two experts expert in extensive reading and expert in online media. The expert of extensive reading scored 65 from the total of 70 while the expert of media scored 50 from the total of 50. The general result of the validation was that the product was categorized as very good. The product was tried out with students at University of Muhammadiyah Malang of Elementary School Teacher Department. The final revision of the product was done right after the tryout. Produk akhir dari penelitian ini adalah materi extensive reading berbasis internet yang interaktif dengan menggunakan aplikasi Edmodo. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Adapun data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui angket wawancara dan penilaian ahli. Model ini sesuai untuk program extensive reading masa depan sebagaimana yang didiskusikan pada latar belakang penelitian karena beberapa alasan memiliki perpustakaan yang mencakup berbagai materi bacaan dengan tingkat kesulitan yang bervariasi aktifitas akhir yang disediaakan bermacam-macam menantang dan membantu peningkatan kemampuan baca mahasiswa produk ini memberikan kesempatan bagi guru untuk mengontol dan mengatur pekerjaan mahasiswa untuk tujuan penilaian terakhir produk dilengkapi dengan panduan guru Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian dari Borg and Gall (1983) dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan dari Lee and Owens (2004). Produk dari penelitian ini divalidasi oleh dua ahli ahli extensive reading dan ahli media online. Hasil penilaian dari ahli extensive reading yaitu 65 dari total skor 70 sedangkan ahli media online memberikan skor 50 dari total skor 50 terhadap produk yang telah divalidasi. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli secara umum produk ini dikategorikan sebagai produk yang sangat bagus. Produk ini di uji coba di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang pada jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Revisi akhir produk dilakukan setelah pelaksanaan uji coba.
