Key words graphic organizers learning cycle communicating process writing skill English teachers in Indonesia particularly those whose field is teaching the young learners have felt the need to find easy comprehensive yet still stimulating techniques to expose their students and arouse their interest in the target language use particularly in writing. This study is then conducted to find efforts in order to enhance the young learners proficiency in English as foreign language. This research is intended to describe how the three types of graphic organizers the Concept Map the Venn Diagram the Cyclical / Cycle Map help to improve the students English written skill in the school s learning cycle certain process. As the basis of analysis the theories on children s need and motivation to learn English constructivism and the graphic organizers are employed. Some explanation of the previous related studies were also discussed to help strengthen the writer s belief that the graphic organizers play a great visual help for the children expressing their thoughts particularly in dealing with the target language. In this research the writer employed classroom action research (CAR) since it was aimed to answer the present real problems of the collaborative teacher s class. As the school applies its own learning cycle called Teaching Best Practices that consists of five interrelated steps of Exploring-Planning-Doing-Communicating-Reflecting the CAR is then accommodated into that school s learning cycle. Certain focus is dedicated to the Communicating step as it is the step in which the students perform their achieved result either in written or verbally The writer wishes to give descriptive-explanatory-interpretative accounts so six instruments to collect data were used. They were the results of students writing inputs and outputs the checklists of students and teachers observation the field note-taking and the interview. Partial video recordings were also done several times. To analyze the data the writer the collaborative teacher and the triangulator rated the writing inputs and outputs using the established rubrics conducted the detailed interview to the class students and conducted internal meeting to discuss the findings. The writer and the collaborative teacher set the teaching guidelines in which the three types of Graphic Organizers were applied to the Exploring step to brainstorm and compare ideas to the Planning step to arrange their processes and work plans and also to the Communicating when they had to deliver verbal presentation to their friends. Having succeeded the CAR cycle for one time lasted for about four weeks the result of the study convinced that the graphic organizers are useful for the students to use in their Communicating step at the moment when they had to perform their verbal group presentation and when they had to express their ideas in a written form. The organizers were helpful to improve students English written skill as they were found to be practically applied to explore extensive ideas compare and draw similarities and plan sequences. Having applied the types of the organizer most students experienced the increased result performance. The students also stated their satisfaction of having used the organizers for their verbal communication in carrying out the presentation. Being used for class presentation the students confirmed that the organizers also functioned well as media tools which both eased their tension and clarified the topics being discussed. ii Eventually it is hoped that the findings of the research could benefit the English teachers and the teachers to be in their effort improving the language teaching particularly for the young learners to whom particular treatment should be addressed. The suggestions are also offered to various primary schools in their attempt to make the English teaching learning situation better
