Ramli M.A. Kata kunci literasikarier focus group discussion self searching siswa MAN Literasikarierdapatterwujudjikasiswamengetahuidanmemahamihal-hal yang berkaitandengandirinya. Pengetahuandanpemahamantersebutberbedapadasetiapsiswasesuaidengankemampuansiswa yang dimiliki. Fenomena yang terjadiadalahkemampuanuntukmengambilpilihanmasihkurangdenganadanyapilihantanpaadadasar literasikariermerupakankemampuanpemahamantentangperkembangankarierdiri. PenelitianeksperimeninimenggunakanmetodePretest and Posttest Control Group Designuntukmengetahiperbedaankefektifanpenggunaan FGD danself searchinguntukmeningkatkanliterasikariersiswa. Subjekdiambildarikelas XII IPA 3 dan XII IPA 4 berjumlah 10 siswa yang memilikitingkatpilihanrasionalrendahdansangatrendah. 10 siswatersebutdibagikedalam 2 kelompok yaitu 5 siswapadakelompokeksperimenmendapatkanintervensifocus group discussiondan 5 siswapadakelompokkontrolmendapatkanintervensiself searching. Data dianalisisdenganmenggunakan Wilcoxon sign Rank TestuntukmengetahuipeningkatanpilihankariersiswapadasetiapkelompokeksperimendanMann-Whitney U Testuntukmengujiapakahadaperbedaankeefektifankeduaintervensi. Hasilanalisismenunjukansetiapstrategi yang digunakanmemberikankenaikan yang signifikandanmenunjukanbahwatidakadaperbedaan yang signifikanantarakeefektivankeduametodeterhadappeningkatanpilihanrasionalkariersiswa. Saran bagi guru bimbingandankonselingdapatmenggunakankeduaintervensiuntukmembantusiswadalammeningkatkanpilihanrasionalkariersiswa.Konselordapatmenggunakankeduaintervensidenganmempelajaribukupanduaneksperimenpeningkatanliterasikarierdenganfocus group discussiondanself searching. Ramli M.A. Keywords career literacy focus group discussion self-searching student MAN Career literacy can be realized if students know and understand things related to himself. Knowledge and understanding are different in each student according to the ability of students owned. The phenomenon that occurs is the ability to take options is still lacking in the choice of no basis career literacy is the ability to understand the development of career self. This experimental study used Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design methods to determine the effectiveness difference of FGD and self searching to improve student career literacy. The subjects taken from the class XII IPA 3 and XII IPA 4 amounted to 10 students who have low rational choice level and very low. 10 students were divided into 2 groups 5 students in the experimental group get focus group discussion intervention and 5 students in control group get self searching intervention. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon sign rank test to determine the improvement of student career choices in each experimental group and the Mann-Whitney U Test to test whether there is a difference in the effectiveness of both interventions. The results of the analysis show that each strategy used gives a significant increase and indicates that there is no significant difference between the effectiveness of both methods to the improvement of rational choice of career of the students. Advice for guidance and counseling teachers can use both interventions to assist students in improving students rational career choices. The counselor can use both interventions by studying an experimental literacy enhancement manual with focus group discussion and self-searching. For the next researcher can develop the product of module focus group discussion and self searching.
