Kata Kunci penggunaan internet secara kompulsif konseling model transteoritik Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menurunkan penggunaan internet secara kompulsif siswa SMA. Penggunaan internet secara kompulsif merupakan sebuah perilaku penggunaan internet secara terus menerus yang menyebabkan seseorang tidak mampu mengendalikan dirinya sendiri dan merasa tergantung untuk mengakses internet. Salah satu cara untuk menurunkan penggunaan internet secara kompulsif adalah menggunakan konseling model transteoritik. Model konseling ini menekankan pada perubahan perilaku yang disengaja dan berfokus pada pengambilan keputusan individu. Fokus konseling ini meliputi perubahan pada emosi kognisi dan perilaku. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan rancangan single subject design dengan model reversal design (ABA). Subjek penelitian sebanyak empat siswa kelas X SMA. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala penggunaan internet secara kompulsif. Analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji keefektifan konseling model transteoritik untuk menurunkan penggunaan internet secara kompulsif siswa adalah analisis visual. Hasil analisis visual menunjukkan bahwa kunseling model transteoritik efektif menurunkan penggunaan internet secara kompulsif siswa SMA. Penggunaan internet secara kompulsif siswa stabil menurun yang berarti bahwa proses konseling berjalan efektif. Keefektifan konseling model transteoritik dibuktikan pula dengan perbedaan perolehan skor yang signifikan antara skor pre test dengan skor post test. Saran penelitian sebagai berikut 1) bagi konselor sekolah konseling model transteoritik dapat digunakan untuk menurunkan penggunaan internet secara kompulsif siswa. Konseling model transteoritik memiliki keunggulan yaitu melatih siswa untuk mampu membuat keputusan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahannya. 2) bagi peneliti selanjutnya a) perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengembangkan panduan konseling model transteoritik untuk menurunkan penggunaan internet secara kompulsif siswa b) penelitian ini perlu ditindak lanjuti dengan variasi popolasi yang berbeda misalnya di SD SMP c) penelitian ini perlu ditindaklanjuti dengan menguji keefektifannya pada aspek yang lain. Compulsive Internet Use is a behavior of continuous internet usage that causes a person unable to control himself and get addicted to access the internet. One of the best way to reduce compulsive internet use is by using transtheoretical model. This kind of counseling model emphasizes the behavioral changes which is focusing on individual decision making. This counseling method is focusing on emotional cognitive and behavioral changes. This experimental study uses single subject design with reversal subject design model (ABA). Moreover the subjects of this study were four X graders. Compulsive internet use scale was used as the instrument of the study. Visual analysis analysis were used as the theoretical framework of this study to test the effectiveness of transtheoretical counseling model to reduce students compulsive internet use. Based on the results of the visual analysis it is found that transtheoretical counseling model is effective to reduce senior high school students compulsive internet use. The results of the study found that students compulsive internet use stably reduce which means that the counseling process is running effectively. The effectiveness of transtheoretical counseling model is also can be proved by the significant difference in scores among pre test scores and post test scores. Therefore the results of this study provide some suggestions (1) It is suggested for the school counselors to use transtheoretical counseling model to reduce students compulsive internet use (2) For the future researchers a) it is needed to do a research to develope the guidance of transtheoretical counseling model to reduce students compulsive internet use (b) it is also suggested for the future researchers to do the research by using different population such as doing this kind of research in elementary school or in junior high school (c) last but not least this kind of research also can be done by testing its effectiveness in different occasion.
