Ph.D. Kata Kunci Media Video Motivasi Belajar Penelitian ini berdasarkan permasalahan dari observasi awal di kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Pancasila Ambulu pada pelajaran geografi. Observasi awal menunjukkan terdapat 57% siswa yang bermasalah dengan motivasi belajar di dalam kelas. Permasalahan motivasi belajar tersebut seperti siswa yang mengobrol dengan teman sebangku sering keluar kelas bermain telepon seluler mengerjakan tugas selain geografi dan tertidur. Selain itu permasalahan juga disebabkan kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran yang membuat siswa merasa bosan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran masih rendah. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan menjelaskan penggunaan media video untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di dalam kelas. Metode penggunaan media pembelajaran video dipilih agar konsentrasi perhatian antusias dan semangat belajar siswa tidak cepat hilang. Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Pancasila Ambulu yang beralamat Jl. Ronggolawe No. 5 Kecamatan Ambulu Kabupaten Jember. Subjek penelitian adalah 33 siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Pancasila Ambulu. Materi pelajaran pada saat penelitian yaitu kearifan lokal dalam pemanfaatan sumber daya alam. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan angket. Hasil analisis pada siklus I ke siklus II diketahui motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Pancasila Ambulu meningkat setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran video. Rata-rata nilai akhir motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus II untuk tiap indikator yaitu attention sebesar 77 8 relevance sebesar 81 8 convidence sebesar 86 1 dan satisfaction sebesar 80 5. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa kategori motivasi belajar siswa sangat baik sebesar 30% dan baik 70%. Rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa secara klasikal meningkat 3 8% dari siklus I sebesar 78 2 ke siklus II sebesar 81 2. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran video dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Pancasila Ambulu Kecamatan Ambulu Kabupaten Jember pada materi Kearifan Lokal Dalam Pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam. Ph.D. Keywords Video Media Learning Motivation This research was based on the problems of preliminary observation in class XI IPS 1 of SMA Pancasila Ambulu on the lesson of geography. Preliminary observations showed that 57% of students had problems with learning about motivation in the classroom. The example of learning motivation problems were for instance students who chatted with friends often going out of class playing hand phones doing tasks other than geography and falling asleep. In addition the problems were also caused by the lack of variation of learning media that made students feel bored. This showed that the students learning motivation in the learning process is still low. This study aimed to explain the use of video media to improve students learning motivation in the classroom. The method of using video learning media was chosen so that the concentration the attention the enthusiasm and the students learning spirit did not disappear quickly. Regarding the area of the research this research was conducted in SMA Pancasila Ambulu which is located at Jl. Ronggolawe No. 5 Ambulu District of Jember Regency. The respondents were 33 students of class XI IPS 1 SMA Pancasila Ambulu. The leraning material while conducting the research was the local wisdom in the utilization of natural resources. Data collection method in this research was done by using observation method and questionnaire. The results of analysis on cycle I to cycle II was known that the stundents learning of class XI IPS 1 SMA Pancasila Ambulu increased after using video learning media. The average final score of students learning motivation in cycle II for each indicator was attention equal to 77 8 relevance equal to 81 8 convidence equal to 86 1 and satisfaction equal to 80 5. The results of this study obtained the result that the category of student learning motivation was very good at 30% and 70% good. The students average learning motivation classically increase up to 3 8% from cycle I equal to 78 2 to cycle II equal to 81 2. The results of the research is known that the use of video learning media can be used to improve the student s learning motivation of class XI IPS 1 SMA Pancasila Ambulu Ambulu - District Jember District on the material of Local Wisdom In Natural Resources Utilization. Therefore it is recommended for further learning to use video learning media in improving students learning motivation in the classroom.
