Kata Kunci Learning Cycle 5E Lesson Study Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan yaitu rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa disebabkan oleh guru yang masih menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran berpusat pada guru dan kurang melibatkan aktivitas siswa. Aktifitas siswa yang cenderung pasif saat pembelajaran berlangsung menyebabkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kurang terasah dan hasilnya menjadi kurang maksimal. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelalajaran Learning Cycle 5E berbasis Lesson Study pada mata pelajaran Geografi kelas XI IPS MA Al-Mawaddah 2 Blitar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan 2 siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan berbasis Lesson Study yang meliputi plan do dan see. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS MA Al-Mawaddah 2 Blitar yang berjumlah 13 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yg digunakan adalah RPP lembar monitoring tahap plan do see lembar observasi dan lembar tes. Teknik analisis data berupa pengukuran kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan ketuntasan belajar yang dipersentasekan dan pengukuran peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang diketahui dari hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Pada pra tindakan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 48 08 dan setelah dilakukan tindakan siklus I mengalami peningkatan sebesar 22 79% menjadi 59 04. Selanjutnya dilakukan tindakan siklus 2 yang mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 36 74% menjadi 80 73.Berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan dapat diperoleh kesimpualan bahwa penerapan model pembelalajaran Learning Cycle 5E Berbasis Lesson Study dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPS MA Al-Mawaddah 2 Blitar. Keywords Learning Cycle 5E Lesson Study Critical Thinking Skill This research was conducted by the problems about the lack of students critical thinking skills. It was caused by teacher s learning method. Who still used talkative method so the learning process was centered on the teacher and it wasn t involve student s participation. The Passive condition while learning process felt by students it was caused their critical thinking skill undeveloped then they weren t get maximum result. The aim of this classroom action research was to improve student s critical thinking skill by applying the learning model of Learning Cycle 5E based on Lesson Study in geography subjects at Eleventh Grade of Social Science of Al-Mawaddah Senior High School 2 Blitar. This research was classroom action research which conducted by 2 cycles. Each cycle-based on Lesson Study included with plan do and see. The research subject were students at Eleventh Grade of Social Science of Al-Mawaddah Senior High School 2 Blitar in number 13 students. The research instrument was used RPP monitoring phase sheet of plan do and see observation sheets and test sheet. The data analyze technique through the measurement of critical thinking skill based on study completeness which was percentage and the measurement of student s critical thinking skill enhancement at each cycle. The results of the research showed that there were increasingly of student s critical thinking skill known from the results of critical thinking skill tests. In the pre-action was obtain an average value 48.08 and after the first cycle was increased by 22.79% to 59.04. Furthermore the second cycle action was increased with the average of 36.74% to 80 73. Based on data analyze and discussion the researcher concluded that the implementation of learning model Learning Cycle 5E based on Lesson Study can enhance student s critical thinking skill at Eleventh Grade of Al-Mawaddah Senior High School 2 Blitar.
