Masalah yang muncul adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep geografi peserta didik kelas XIPS-1. Rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dibuktikan dengan hasil ulangan yang menunjukkan bahwa hanya ada 4 orang dari 33 peserta didik yang mampu menjawab soal dengan benar. Dalam berkelompok peserta didik membentuk kelompok yang tidak seimbang peserta didik yang pintar tidak bertanggung jawab terhadap peserta didik yang lemah sehingga proses diskusi tidak berjalan dengan baik dan peserta didik dengan pemahaman rendah memiliki hasil belajar rendah karena ketidakpahamannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas XIPS-1 SMAN 2 Malang melalui penerapan model Team Assisted Individualitazion (TAI). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan pelaksanaan observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas XIPS-1 yang berjumlah 33 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep peserta didik berupa soal uraian yang terdiri dari lima butir soal. Instrumen pelaksanaan tindakan yaitu lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan yang diisi oleh observer. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep diperoleh dari perbandingan hasil nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep setiap akhir siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep peserta didik meningkat dari sebelum sampai sesudah tindakan. Nilai rata-rata sebelum tindakan adalah 63% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 64 84%. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep peserta didik meningkat kembali sebesar 7 13 menjadi 71 9%. Kekurangan dalam pembelajaran yang harus diperbaiki diantaranya (1) apersepsi sebagai pembangun semangat belajar peserta didik harus disampaikan di awal pembelajaran (2) guru harus memberikan bimbingan kelompok secara merata (3) guru harus membuat kisi-kisi jawaban serta memberikan gambaran dalam menjawab soal agar bisa runtut dalam menjelaskan. The problem that arises is the lack of understanding the concept of geography learners XIPS class-1. Low ability learners understanding of the concept is evidenced by the test results showed that there were only 4 of 33 students who can answer the questions correctly. In groups the students formed a group that is not balanced smart learners who are not responsible for the weak learners so that the discussion did not go well and learners with an understanding of the low education outcomes are low because dont understand. The purpose of this research is to increase the concept attainment of student XIPS-1 SMAN 2 Malang through the application of models Team Assisted Individualitazion (TAI). This research is a class act consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning implementation observation and reflection. Subject of research that students XIPS class-1 totaling 33 people. The instrument used to measure the understanding of the concept of learners in the form of about a description of five items. Instruments implementation of the measures namely observation checklist and field notes were filled by the observer. Improved understanding of the concept derived from the comparison of the average value of understanding the concept of the end of each cycle. The results show that there is an increased understanding of the concept of learners. Improved understanding of the concept of learners proven by the average value of understanding the concept of learners increased from before to after the action. The average value before action is a 63% in the first cycle increase to 64.84%. In the second cycle the average value of understanding the concept of learners increased again by 7.13 becomes 71.9%. Shortcomings in learning should be improved (1) apersepsi as the builder of the spirit of learners to be delivered in early learning (2) the teacher should provide guidance groups equally (3) the teacher must make a grating answers and gives an overview in answering the questions in order to coherently explain
