Kata kunci jigsaw pemahaman konsep geografi Hasil observasi yang dilakukan di MA Al Ma arif Singosari menunjukkan bahwa 59 58% dari jumlah siswa mendapatkan nilai ulangan di bawah KKM yang ditentukan yaitu 75. Hasil belajar yang rendah juga mempengaruhi pemahaman konsep geografi siswa. Dibuktikan dengan soal ulangan harian 1 yang menggunakan ranah C2 namun 28 siswa dinyatakan belum tuntas. Guru hanya menggunakan metode ceramah yang panjang dengan durasi waktu 90 menit sehingga membuat siswa merasa jenuh dan tidak menarik perhatian siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geografi pada materi litosfer siswa kelas X-5 MA Al Ma arif Singosari melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Jigsaw. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan pelaksanaan observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X-5 yang berjumlah 47 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep geografi siswa berupa soal uraian yang terdiri dari empat butir soal. Instrumen pelaksanaan tindakan yaitu lembar observasi dan lembar catatan lapangan yang diisi oleh obsever. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep diperoleh dari perbandingan hasil nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep setiap akhir siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep geografi siswa. Nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep geografi sebelum tindakan sebesar 72 89 sedangkan nilai rata-rata setelah tindakan siklus I sebesar 74 51 yang artinya telah mengalami peningkatan sebesar 2 22%. Pada siklus II nilai pemahaman konsep geografi siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 6 48% dan nilai rata-ratanya menjadi 79 34. Proses pembelajaran pada siklus I menunjukkan masih ada beberapa komponen langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang tidak terlaksana karena pengaturan waktu yang kurang tepat namun sudah diperbaiki pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan pemahaman konsep geografi setelah dilakukan penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative tipe jigsaw. Saran bagi peneliti lanjut dapat melakukan penelitian tentang model pembelajaran cooperative tipe jigsaw untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep. Selain itu peneliti lanjut juga dapat melakukan beberpa hal yaitu menambah atau mengubah variabel seperti hasil belajar dan keaktifan. ABSTRACT Yusinda Ressa. M. 2017. Keywords jigsaw comprehension the concept of geography The result of observations conducted in MA Al Ma arif Singosari show that 59 58% of the total number of students got test score under specified of Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning that is 75. Low learning output also affected students understanding of geography concepts. The result of the first daily test which used C2 level but 28 students was declared incomplete. Teacher only usedlong speech method in 90 minute duration so it made the students felt boored and did not get students interest. The purpose of this study was to improve comprehension geographic concept of the lithospheric geographics materil class X-5 MA Al Ma arif Singosari. (of class x-5 ma al maarif singosari lithospheric material) This research was action class research consist of two cycles. Each cycle consist of planning implementation observation and reflection. The research subject was X-5 class with number of 47 students. The instruments which was used to measure students understanding of geographic concept was 4 essay question. The action implementation instrument were observation and field report sheets which filled by the observer. Improved comprehension of the concept gained from the comparison of the average value of comprehension the concept of each cycle. The result showed there was comprehension increase of student s geographic concept. The value average before this action was 72 89 while the average after the first cycle was 74 51 which increased by 2.22%. In the second cycle student geographic concept comprehension value was increased 6 48% and it become 79 34. Learning process in first cycle indicatre that were still some ineffective learning component because inappropiate timing but fixed in second cycle. Based on these results it could conclude that there is increase of understanding geographic concept after cooperative learning jigsaw type implementation. Suggestion for further researcher can do research on the type cooperative learning model jigsaw to improve comprehension of the concept. In addition further researcher can also do somethings which add or change variable such as learning outcomes and liveliness.
