Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuipeningkatanefektivitaspembelajarantolakpelurusetelahmelakukanbermaindanberlomba.Instrumen yang digunakandalampenelitianiniadalahtes, lembarobservasi, wawancara, dokumentasidancatatanlapangan. Rancanganpenelitian yang digunakandalampenelitianiniadalahpenelitiantindakankelas (PTK).Melalui PTK inidilaksanakanpembelajarantolakpelurugayamembelakangidenganpendekatanbermaindanberlomba. Melaluibermaindanberlombaini, siswamelakukantolakpelurusambilbermaindalammelaksanakanpembelajaran.Hal inipentingmengingattidaksemuasiswamenyenangiolahragatolakpeluru.Dalampenelitianini, penelitiberkolaborasidengan guru merencanakantindakanpembelajaran yang berlangsungselama 2siklus. Hasilpenelitianmenunjukanbahwaketerampilanmelakukantekniktolakpelurugayamembelakangisiswakelas VIII B SMP Negeri 16 Malangmengalamipeningkatan. Hasiltindakansiklus 1 padateknikpegangantingkatkeberhasilansiswadari 48.78% (20 siswa) menjadi 56.09% (23 siswa), sikapbadan 46.34% (19 siswa) menjadi 56.09% (23 siswa), tahapmenolak 46.34% (19 siswa) menjadi 58.53% (24 siswa), akhiran 43.90% (18 siswa) menjadi 58.53% (24 siswa). Key words: the attractiveness learning, back style, playing, competition Sport was taught starting from elementary school till senior high school. shot-put back style was a number of throwing from athletic branches. Through shot-put back style learning, it was expected that students felt happier, more active, more understand about the material and had skill in mastery. Based on the first observation, it was known that the Attractiveness learning in shot-put back style in SMP Negeri 16 Malangwas still less optimal. Students were not happy in giving attention and they were not active in learning process. The objective of this study was to know if there was any significant difference of the attractiveness of shot-put learning after playing and competition. The instruments which were used in this study were observation list, interviewing, documentation, and field notes. The research design which was used in this study was class action research. Through this class action research, it was conducted the shot-put back style learning by using playing and competition approach. Through palying and competition, students did shot-put while playing in the learning process. It was very important as not all students liked shot-put sport. In this study the researcher collaborated with the teacher in conducting the three stages learning. The result study showed that the ability in doing shot-put back style technique of students VIII B SMP Negeri 16 Malanghad improvement. The result of action cycle 1 on the technique of handling the success rate of students from 48.78% (20 students) to 56.09% (23 students), attitude 46.34% (19 students) to 56.09% (23 students), stage refused 46.34% (19 students) to 58.53% (24 students), suffix 43.90% (18 students) to 58.53% (24 students).The result of cycles 2 meeting 3 on cycle 2 when viewed from the percentage of them is the success rate on the technique of holding as much as 90.24% (37 students), on body attitude technique 92.68% (38 students), on the technique of reject stage 92.68% (38 students) and on technique suffix 95.12% (39 students). Based on the result study, it could be concluded that the shot-put back style with playing and competition approaches could improve the effectiveness of learning in the class for students of VIII B SMP Negeri16 Malang.
