One of the basic competence that students master the skills of shot put. Based on initial observations obtained results that mastery skill shot put style O Brein eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Trenggalek A still lacking. The number of students of class VIII A were 33 students 18 of them male and 15 female students from the observations that have been made it is known that of the total number of students is 33 it is still not exceed 28 students SKM has determined that 72. This is due to several reasons such as physical form feelings of tension fear lack of concentration and lack of technical understanding. Therefore it is necessary to reform the delivery methods with the application of the method to play to prevent students become bored and less creative in acceptance the lesson so that learning can be successful then the elements of play must be considered as the elements contained in the game is the excitement and joy . 12288 12288 12288 12288 The purpose of this research is to improve the skill shot put style O Brein eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Trenggalek A method to play a rubber ball. This research is a classroom action research with quantitative descriptive approach. The implementation of this class action through two cycles where each cycle consists of 4 stages (1) planning (2) implementation (3) observation (4) reflection. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Psychology. Data collection techniques in this study using observations (observations) documentation and testing. 12288 12288 12288 12288 The results in the first cycle the student whose value exceeds KKM by 13 students (39.39%) of the 33 students in cycle 2 to 28 students (84.85%). In the earlier observation that initially 30 students who do not get the minimum standard of completeness 72 reduced to 5 students who do not get the minimum standards mastery. From these results showing an increase in the acquisition of skills shot put style O Brein eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Terri A seen from the comparison of the results of observations conducted during the initial pre-action with reflections given by the end of the application. In addition to the percentage of the skill shot put style O Brein also obtained the results of observations of the attitudes of students during the learning process in cycle 1 meeting 1 the teachers do not accompany students during the warm-up students who deviate not immediately reprimanded by the teacher and the students do not pay attention when the teacher explains the teacher s explanation.
