Abstract

Keywords student s perception education service satisfaction automotive engine practicum learning Student s perception about education service particularly at practicum subject in Mechanical Engineering State University of Malang is an observation result and activity conducted by students of Mechanical Engineering Department of State University of Malang. This Research is aimed to know the student s perception about education service aspect which consists of lecturer attendance study schedule learning material learning facility environment learning support service and the laboratory assistant at Mechanical Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering State University of Malang in automotive engine practicum subject and to know the satisfaction level of the students enrolled in 2006/2007-2008/2009 after having education service as they are taking automotive engine practicum at Mechanical Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering State University of Malang. From 155 students we take 76 students as the sample. The data collection is applied by using instrument technique in the form of questionnaire addressed to the students. The data analysis uses descriptive quantitative analysis. The research result shows that (1) the student s perception about education service aspect which consists of learning facility learning schedule environment learning material learning support service lecturer attendance laboratory assistant at Mechanical Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering State University of Malang in automotive engine practicum subject tends to agree and still considered as qualified for being regarded by almost half of the whole research subject (42.74%). Thus the student s perception about education service is adequate and it is viewed from the explanation of the indicators of each sub-variable (a) learning facility (b) learning schedule (c) environment (d) learning material (e) learning support service (f) lecturer attendance and (g) laboratory assistant. (2) The satisfaction level of the students in taking the education service as they have an automotive engine practicum learning subject at Mechanical Engineering Subject Faculty of Engineering State University of Malang has fulfilled the learning requirement though it still few compared to the amount of the research subject.
