Keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas X MIPA1 MAN Batu tergolong masih kurang karena metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru hanya ceramah dan diskusi biasa sehingga siswa bosan dan hasil belajar menjadi rendah. Guru mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan suatu metode dan teknik pembelajaran yang lebih bervariasi yaitu menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Dengan Media Lembar Kerja Word Square. Tujuan penelitian ini dilaksanakan adalah untuk mengetahui dan meningkatkan kekatifan dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X MIPA1 MAN Batu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang ditempuh dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan pelaksanaan observasi dan refleksi yang dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan setiap siklusnya. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA1 MAN Batu yang terdiri dari 35 siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui keaktifan siswa adalah berupa lembar observasi sedangkan instrmen untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa berupa post test. Dari tindakan yang diterapkan pada siklus I dan siklus II diketahui bahwa pada siklus I meningkat ke siklus II termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Baik . Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar pada siklus I jumlah rata-rata nilai post test hasil belajar siswa meningkat ke siklus II termasuk dalam kategori Baik . Berdasarkan paparan data dan pembahasan yang telah diuraikan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Dengan Media Lembar Kerja Word Square dapat meningkatkan kekatifan dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X MIPA1 MAN Batu. Maka penulis memberikan saran yang dapat dijadikan petimbangan yaitu (1) Guru sebaiknya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan media lembar kerja Word Square agar pembelajaran lebih bermakna dan kemampuan mengelola kelas lebih meningkat yang dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa (2) bagi sekolah disarankan menambah fasilitas yang dapat mendukung pelaksanaan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan media lembar kerja Word Square yang dapat memotivasi belajar siswa yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa (3) Bagi peneliti lain sebaiknya dalam melakukan penelitian dapat membuat perpaduan model pembelajaran lain yang lebih bervariasi agar tercipta pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. The students activeness and the economic learning results of grade X s students of MIPA1 MAN Batu are classified as lacked because the methods and learning techniques applied by the teacher are just talkative and regular discussions so the students feel bored and the learning results are getting low. The purpose of this study was conducted to find and improve activeness and improve student learning outcomes on economic subjects class X MIPA1 MAN Batu. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which is followed by two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages planning execution observation and reflection which are held in two meetings each cycle. As for the subject of the research is the students of class X MIPA1 MAN Batu which consists of 35 male and female students. The instrument used to know the activity of the student is in the form of observation sheet while the instrument to measure student learning result is in the form of post test. From the action applied in cycle I and cycle II it is known that in cycle I increased to cycle II included in the category of Very Good . While for the learning outcomes in the first cycle the average number of post test results of student learning outcomes increased to cycle II included in the category of Good . Based on the exposure of data and discussions that have been described it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) With Media Word Square Worksheet can improve activeness and student learning outcomes on economic subjects class X MIPA1 MAN Batu. And can be used as an alternative in learning. So the author gives suggestions that can be used as a consideration that is (1) Teachers should use the cooperative learning model of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type with Word Square worksheet media for more meaningful learning and enhanced classroom management skills that can enhance students learning and learning outcomes (2) For schools is suggested to add facilities that can support the implementation of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model with Word Square worksheet media that can motivate student learning that can improve student learning outcomes (3) For other researchers it is better to do research can make the combination of other models of learning are more varied to create a fun learning.
