Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil observasi awal yang dilakukan penulis pada saat penulis melakukan kegiatan Kajian Praktik Lapangan (KPL) pada bulan Agustus-September 2017. Penulis menemukan bahwa aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran ekonomi masih rendah. Selama proses observasi dilakukan penulis melihat bahwa suasana kelas masih kurang kondusif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Ketika guru memberikan soal-soal latihan kepada siswa masih ada siswa yang duduk-duduk sambil tidur-tiduran tampak kurang bersemangat dalam belajar. Proses pembelajaran dan kegiatan tanya jawab hanya didominasi oleh beberapa siswa saja. Selain itu antusisas siswa dalam bekerjasama dalam proses diskusi juga masih rendah. Sehingga diperlukan suatu tindakan guna memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Untuk itu model pembelajaran think pair share ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS 3 SMAN 1 Turen dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang yang terdiri dari 19 siswa perempuan dan 14 siswa laki-laki pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi wawancara tes catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini melalui 3 tahapan yaitu reduksi data paparan data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 3 SMAN 1 Turen dari siklus I ke siklus II. Aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat dari rata-rata siklus I sebesar 60% naik menjadi 75% pada siklus II dengan selisih peningkatan pada siklus I dan siklus II sebesar 15%. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Rata-rata siklus I sebesar 60.00 naik menjadi 93.33 dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 34 37% naik menjadi 100% pada siklus II dengan selisi 65 63%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran think pair share dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPS 3 di SMAN 1 Turen. Saran bagi sekolah hasil penelitian ini seyogyanya dapat digunakan sebagai masukan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dalam menentukan model pembelajaran yang sesuai Saran bagi guru model pembelajaran think pair share ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. This research is based on the results of initial observations made by the author at the time of the authors conducted field assessment activities (MPA) in August-September 2017. The authors found that the student activity in the learning process on economic subjects is still low. During the process of observation done the authors see that the classroom situation is still less conducive during the learning process takes place. When the teacher gives the students practice questions there are still students sitting and sleepy seeming less spirit about learning. Learning process and question and answer activities are only dominated by some students only. In addition the antusisas students in cooperation in the discussion process is also still low. So it takes an action to improve and improve the quality of learning. Therefore think pair share learning is expected to increase student activity and learning outcomes This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) with a qualitative approach. This study was conducted in two cycles. Subjects in this study were students of class X 3 IPS SMAN 1 Turen with the number of students 32 people consisting of 19 female students and 14 male students in the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Data collection techniques in this research through observation interviews tests field notes and documentation. Analysis of the data in this study through the three stages of data reduction exposure data and drawing conclusions. Based on the survey results revealed that an increase in activity and results of class X student of SMAN 1 Turen IPS 3 from the first cycle to the second cycle. Student activity increased from an average of the first cycle of 60% rising to 75% in the second cycle by a margin improvement in the first cycle and the second cycle by 15%. Learning outcomes of students also increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. On average the first cycle of 60.00 increased to 93.33 and completeness of student learning outcomes first cycle of 34.37% rising to 100% in the second cycle with selisi 65.63%. It can be concluded that the application of learning models think pair share can increase the activity and results of class X student IPS SMAN 3 in 1 Turen. Advice for schools the results of this study should be used as input to improve the learning process in determining the appropriate learning model advice for teachers think pair share learning model can be used as an alternative to improve student learning activities.
