Penulis melakukan observasi kelas X IPS yang telah dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Turen Kabupaten Malang diketahui bahwa selama ini dalam proses pembelajaran siswa pasif hanya mendengarkan yang dijelaskan guru. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan ibu Etika Dewi Rahmawati selaku guru mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X dijelaskan bahwa hasil belajar siswa rendah karena siswa kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi yang dilakukan maka perlu dilakukan perubahan mendasar yang dimulai dari proses pembelajaran. Metode kooperatif teknik STAD dapat membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dikelas untuk selalu berpartisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) yang terdiri dari dua siklus setiap siklus 4 tahapan yaitu (1) perencanaan (2) pelaksanaan (3) pengamatan dan (4) refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini kelas X IPS 2 dengan jumlah 33 siswa. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Bank Sentral Sistem Pembayaran dan Alat Pembayaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap bulan januari 2017. Instrumen penelitian ini lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik presentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif Teknik STAD secara umum dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dengan rata-rata keaktifan siswa siklus 1 62 40 % dan Siklus II 79 31%. Terjadi peningkatan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siklus 1 45 45% dan siklus II 90 32%. Saran yang dapat dikemukakan penulis adalah sebagai berikut (1) Guru mata pelajaran ekonomi dapat menerapkan Metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif Teknik STAD agar keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan sesuai dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal yang ditetapkan oleh sekolah. (2) Bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat menerapkan metode pembelajaran kooperatif teknik STAD dengan mengembangkan variasi-variasi yang lain dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran agar hasil penelitian yang diperoleh lebih baik lagi. The Results Of The Study. The author did observation in class X IPS that have been held in Senior High School 1 Turen Malang Regency based on the observation during learning process the students were pasive. They only gave less respond during learning process. Based on the interview with Mrs. Etika Dewi Rahmawati known as teacher of economics subject she explained the reasons why the students have low outcome because they are less active during learning process. Through the interview and the observation which have been done so that we need to solve that problem by changing the fundamental of learning process. Cooperative methode technique STAD can help students to increase their activity in the class. This type of research is PTK (Research Action Class) that consist of two cycles every cycle has 4 steps (1) planning (2) implementation (3) observation and (4) reflection. The subject in this research is Class X IPS 2 the amount of the subjects are 33 students. The learning materials which are used in this reserach are central bank payment system and the instrumental of payment. This research is held at even semester in January 2017. The instruments of this research are observation sheet and test to evaluate learning outcome. The result of this research shows that the learning process with the application of using learning methode technique STAD generally can make student more active. The average of their activity in the first cycle is 62 40% and in the second cylce is 79 31%. It also occurs the increasing of learning outcome in the first cycle is 45 45% and in the second cylce is 90 32%. The suggestions which can be delivered by the author based on the result of the research are (1) The teacher of economics subject can apply cooperative learning methode technique STAD in order to increase student activity and outcome so that they have more outcome in standard minimum requirement which has been decided by the school. (2) For the next researcher can apply cooperative learning methode STAD techingue by developing other variations in implementation learning process to get the better result in the research.
