Understanding Arabic is crucial in Quranic studies as it allows for the conveyance of layered meanings. Previous research has identified various uses of the particle ba in different Surahs. This study aims to identify the particle ba in Surah Yusuf and examine its meanings and translations into Indonesian. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. The data consists of verses from Surah Yusuf containing the preposition ba with primary data sources including the Quranic text and theoretical literature on ba and secondary sources including grammar and tafsir Thanthawy. Data collection was conducted through documentation with instruments comprising tables recording verse numbers Arabic text translations and points of ba in the verses. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman rsquo s technique starting from data collection data reduction data presentation to conclusion drawing and verification to uncover the meanings of ba within the verses and their translation into Indonesian. This study found that the preposition ba in Surah Yusuf has eight meanings out of a total of thirteen namely ilshaq ta rsquo diyah mushahabah taukid muqabalah mujawazah sababiyah and isti rsquo anah. The preposition ba with the meaning of ilshaq appears 18 times ta rsquo diyah once mushahabah 19 times taukid three times muqabalah once mujawazah four times sababiyah two times and isti rsquo anah once. In total ba appears 49 times in Surah Yusuf distributed across 35 verses.
