Key words Mind Mapping Activity Result Study Social Science Subject Elementary School Based on the result of pretest which was done by the researcher in the class of IV SDN 2 Nglongsor some students achieved the scores below the passing grade minimum. This result showed that the average scores of students activity was 37 8 and students result study was 54 4 with percentage of classical passing grade minimum of 32%. Students did not understand well the material of koperasi since the method implemented made the students bored and uninterested. Method which was done by the teacher were by asking questions giving explanation and doing work sheets. Besides according to teachers statement they said that the students of grade IV were difficult to remember. Therefore in this study was implemented mind mapping learning method to solve the problem. The objective of this study was to (1) describe the improvement of result study activity by using mind mapping learning method of social science subject for students grade IV SDN 2 Nglongsor Trenggalek (2) describe the improvement of result study by using mind mapping of social science subject for students grade IV SDN 2 Nglongsor Trenggalek. This study used class action research. Subjects of this study were the whole students of grade IV SDN 2 Nlgongsor Trenggalek by research procedures according to Lewin that was interpreted by Kemmis which consisted of 2 cycles. Each cycle involved 4 stages. The result study showed that the average scores of students activity achieved 53 and average scores of students result achieved 64 8 with classical passing grade minimum of 53% of cycle I. Based on the observation which had been conducted from cycle I reflection of cycle I was improvement in doing apperception by teacher did an interview in order to improve students activity gave achievement for the students who were active in the teaching and learning process. After doing some improvements in cycle II there was an improvement in students average scores of 72 while students average scores achieved 75 8 with classical passing grade minimum of 84%. Conclusion from this study was mind mapping learning method could improve students activity and result study in social science subject of students grade IV SDN 2 Nglongsor Trenggalek. Suggestions for the teacher could be (a) implement mind mapping learning method as variance of learning method (b) choose the available method which is related and effective in explaining social science subject (c) in order to improve students understanding it is better to make notes by using mind mapping for the next teaching and learning activity.
