ABSTRACT Utami Melya Ratna. 2009. The Influence of Moving Class Implementation toward Students Achievement through Learning Motivation at SMA Negeri 3 Malang. Thesis Accounting Department Faculty of Economic State University of Malang. Advisors (I) Dr. Dyah Aju Wardhani S.E. M.Si. Ak. (II) Sriyani Mentari S.Pd. M.M. Keywords implementation moving class learning motivation achievement. Moving class is a learning system in which the students move from one class to another class based on the time scedule. By implementing moving class it is possible that it will give positive effect towards students behavior which is shown by the improvement of students learning motivation. This study was an explanatory research which was aimed to find (1) direct influence of moving class implementation towards students learning motivation at SMAN 3 Malang (2) direct influence of moving class implementation towards students achievement at SMAN 3 Malang (3) direct influence of learning motivation towards students achievement at SMAN 3 Malang (4) indirect influence of moving class implementation towards students achievement through learning motivation at SMAN 3 Malang. The populations of this study was the tenth and eleventh graders which consist of 513 students. The samples used was10% or 51 students. More over this study used stratified proportional random sampling. Questionnaire and documentation were used to collect the data. Meanwhile the path analysis technique was used to analysis the data. The result of this study showed that (1) there was direct influence of moving class implementation towards students learning motivation (15.7%) (2) there was direct influence of moving class implementation toward students achievement (27.8%) (3) there was direct influence of learning motivation toward students achievement (17.1%) (4) indirect influence of moving class implementation toward students achievement through learning motivation (2.7%). Based on the result of this study it is suggested that (1) the school should be able to maintain a good learning system by adopting moving class system (2) for the betterment of the moving class implementation first the school complete the learning facility and the rules more strictly to improve the teachers and students dicipline second teacher should optimaze the use of teaching media and students should be more aware towards the cleaness of the class (3) students are expected to always improve their learning motivation so that their achievement can be improved as well (4) the further researchers should use research sample with wider population area and improve the research variable and (5) the learning motivation variable does not need to be used in the correlation between moving class implementation and achievement.
