This study showed that students positively perceived four presences in online listening classes. Teaching Presence obtained the highest average mean score in which adequate projection instructional design and organization and direct facilitation were required in online listening classes. Meanwhile Social Presence was the lowest average score compared to other presences. The Social Presence highlighted the importance of collaboration through activities in online listening classes. Furthermore students had a good perception of each item of RCoI presence. Therefore this study investigates undergraduate EFL students perception of online listening. The study emphasizes the critical role of teachers in fostering a successful online learning environment through excellent education engagement and instruction. Social Presence enhances student engagement and connection whereas Cognitive Presence fosters critical thinking and information gain. Learner Presence fosters independence and metacognition. The limitations of the study indicate that future research might broaden the scope by undertaking action research to incorporate presences in online listening classrooms. It is recommended that EFL lecturers optimize instructional design provide direct facilitation and employ activities such as group discussions to enhance collaboration and comprehension.
