Vocabulary is one of the most important skills to learn in the English language. Vocabulary serves as the backbone of a language without a good set of vocabulary nothing can be expressed. There are a lot of videos on YouTube where one can use it to learn various things by students. This is a descriptive quantitative research to gather data about how English Department freshman students perceive YouTube as a way to learn and enhance their vocabulary. The questionnaire statements and open-ended questions were given to 33 English department students. The researcher then gathered and analyzed the responses and found that most students deemed YouTube as an effective media to help them learn and improve their vocabulary mastery. The results present data in which teachers could consider using YouTube as part of their classroom activity. This research also hoped to help other researchers to develop new innovation to teach English skills to students.
