Visionary leadership is a leadership style that focuses on formulating and implementing the vision and mission as the school s ideals so that the school community always starts from the vision in school management. Visionary leadership is based on the importance of vision as a hope for the school s future. This vision is described in the mission as stages to achieve the general vision Aletheia Christian Middle School Malang has a mission as the school s identity and the unique character of the school which is called the educational service mission. The educational service mission is a form of service in the world of education which is realized in the spiritual academic character and social development of students based on Christian values. This service is not just an action or a series of activities but is an expression of faith love and devotion to God and others with a sincere and humble heart. Aletheia Christian Middle School Malang has an educational service mission that consists of values veritas libertas and caritas which comes from the Christian Bible in John 8 32 you will know the truth (aletheia) and the truth will set you free . The efforts made by visionary leaders in implementing the mission of educational services are by jointly formulating school goals and implementing them by focusing on educational services in accordance with Christian teachings as values veritas (kebenaran) motivate and give freedom to school members as a value libertas (kemerdekaan) and guiding the school community so that learning activities can be carried out with sincere love as a value caritas (cinta kasih). The aim of this research is to describe (1) the visionary leadership profile of the school principal (2) educational service mission at Aletheia Christian Middle School Malang (c) the principal s visionary leadership strategy in implementing the educational service mission at Aletheia Christian Middle School Malang and (4) indicators of the success of the principal s visionary leadership in implementing the educational service mission at Aletheia Christian Middle School Malang. This research was prepared using a qualitative approach with the type of research design being case study. The research location was carried out at Aletheia Christian Middle School Malang. The informants for the research were school principals teachers students and parents. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews observation and documentation studies. The data analysis carried out was data collection condensation data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data through triangulation member checking and adequacy of references. The research stages are the preparation implementation reporting and publication stages. Based on the data analysis that has been carried out it can be concluded that this researcher includes (1) a visionary leadership profile in the form of understanding background matters principles and application of management functions (2) the mission of educational services in the form of value veritas (kebenaran) libertas (kemerdekaan) and caritas (cinta kasih) which also appears in 12 Christian Character Values (12 KBC) (3) the school principal s visionary leadership strategy by (a) mobilizing all school members to carry out the educational service mission (b) serve each other and provide services and (c) everything is centered on God in accordance with the values of the education service mission trilogy the principal is also a direction maker as an agent of change communicating the service mission and as a model of positive behavior and (4) indicators of the success of the school principal s visionary leadership in the form of (a) delivery of a trilogy of educational service missions that can be understood by all school members (b) the existence of the school principal s visionary strategy (c) involvement of all school stakeholders in the form of teachers students and parents (d) creating a positive school culture (e) achievement of student character development and (f) implementation of evaluation through briefing and reflection. Based on the results of this research the researcher provides suggestions to several parties namely (1) Principal of Aletheia Christian Middle School Malang to continuously improve his role as a visionary leader and carry out ongoing monitoring as a form of evaluation to improve school quality (2) Aletheia Malang Christian Middle School teacher to continuously carry out education wholeheartedly and provide the best service to students (3) Head of the Education Service to continue to increase awareness of school principals by holding a coaching program accompanied by an evaluation of the duties and responsibilities of school principals (4) Head of the Department of Educational Administration with the funds from this research he can evaluate the success of academic guidance services and the curriculum implemented to improve students abilities in the field and (5) it is hoped that future researchers can continue and become a research reference so that continuous research emerges with the same references and context with the visionary leadership of school principals in different schools thereby producing new and scientific insights.
