Abstract

Nowadays the fast development of business world in Indonesia gives a significant effect on the changes of culture. Every organization is required to have different culture with other similar organization. The fast changes of environment give a significant effect on the development of organizational culture. The culture in the organization leads to rules about how to act and what to do. The success of the organization is not merely supported by the organizational culture but also how the organization implants employee s organizational commitment to obtain the aims of the organization. Organizational culture can affect the employees performance to improve their performance. This study aims at investigating the effect of organizational culture in PT. TELKOM kancatel Tulungagung to increase the employees job satisfaction and organizational commitment which leads to the salesforce performance. This study was done in PT. TELKOM kancatel Tulungagung. The subjects of the study are 60 salesforces of PT. TELKOM kancatel Tulungagung. It is a population study in which all subjects are taken into account. In this study the data are analyzed by using path analysis which is one of the forms of multiple regression analysis. The aim of doing path analysis is to find out the direct and indirect effect of something. The variables involved in this study are dependent variable organizational culture (X) intervening variables job satisfaction (Z1) and organizational commitment (Z2) and independent variables performance (Y). The instruments of the study are items from previous relevant studies with some adaptations and modification to the subjects involved in this study. Validity and reliability testing is still conducted to test the validity and the reliability of the data. The results of the study show that (1) There is no direct significant effect of organizational culture on job satisfaction with 946 -0 004 and sig 0 975 (2) There is no direct significant effect of organizational culture on organizational commitment with 946 -0 239 and sig 0 066 (3) There is a direct significant effect of job satisfaction on performance with 946 0 259 and sig 0 046 (4) There is no direct significant effect of organizational commitment on performance with 946 -0 032 and sig 0 809 (5) There is no direct significant effect of organizational culture on performance with 946 0 178 and sig 0 178 (6) There is no indirect significant effect of organizational culture on performance through job satisfaction for about 0 001032 and the total determination coefficient obtained is 0 17936 (7) There is no indirect significant effect of organizational culture on performance through organizational commitment for about 0 007648 and the total determination coefficient obtained is 0 185648. Based on the result of the study it is recommended that PT. TELKOM kancatel Tulungagung improve the organizational culture since it affects n the employees organizational commitment to keep on being the member of the organization or not. Besides PT. TELKOM is recommended to increase the job satisfaction of the employees by considering some factors influencing the job satisfaction. The factors are satisfaction on compensation given (appropiacy with the works to do) satisfaction on the leader satisfaction on friends and satisfaction on their own jobs.
