This research aims to investigate the correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking ability of eleventh-grade students across study programs in senior high schools. The research was conducted with three classes each from XI MIPA (Exact Science Study Program) XI IPS (Social Science Study Program) and XI BB (Language Study Program). The research instruments used were a Vocabulary Test and a Speaking Test. The collected data were analyzed by utilizing Pearson Correlation Product Moment. The results indicated a significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking ability in XI MIPA XI IPS and XI BB study programs with Pearson coefficients of 0.982 for XI MIPA 0.978 for XI IPSA and 0.914 for XI BB. This study contributes to the existing research on the correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking ability of the eleventh graders across study programs.
