Abstract

This study surveyed 21 students of the English Language Education cohort 2020 to get their perspectives on Autonomous Learning. This study took place in the English Department of Universitas Negeri Malang. The researcher used the descriptive quantitative method and Likert Scale to calculate the survey rsquo s data. The questionnaire used in this study was adapted from Learner Autonomy English Language Teachers rsquo Beliefs and Practices by Borg S (2012). This study indicates that the ELE students have a high level of understanding of Autonomous Learning. For further research an expert validation is suggested to validate the questionnaire. This study can be a stepping stone for further research in the same field and an encouragement for other students to profoundly fostering Autonomous Learning.
