Guided inquiry method is one of methods that can increase student motivation and learning outcomes. 12288 12288 12288 12288 The objective of this study is to describe the implementation of guided inquiry learning model to determine whether there is an enhancement on student motivation and learning outcomes from the implementation of guided inquiry model learning model on the subject of Applying Safety Working Healthiness and Environmental for X grade of APK at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang. 12288 12288 12288 12288 This research is a classroom action research which uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation test interview documentation field notes and questionnaires. Hypothesis testing is conducted by using t-tests on students motivation and learning outcomes. In addition a Paired-Samples t-test is used to test two related samples or paired two-sample analysis. The subjects used in this study were 40 students X grade of APK at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang in 2012-2013 academic years. 12288 12288 12288 12288 The result findings of the study show that the implementation of guided inquiry learning model can increase students motivation and learning outcomes. Increased motivation is determined based on the average score in cycle I that was 71.63% while the average score of cycle II reached 82.92% from four indicators. Meanwhile the learning outcome for cognitive aspect is 78.48% from in cycle I and increased to be 82.7% in cycle II. On the other hand the psychomotor aspect of learning outcomes in the first cycle reaches an average score of 60.60% and increased in cycle II to be 78.60%. 12288 Based on these results it is concluded that (1) the implementation of guided inquiry learning model in X grade students of APK on K3LH at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang is very good (2) the guided inquiry learning model can improve students learning motivation well (3) guided inquiry learning model is proven to improve student learning outcomes if compared with previous learning system that is a lecturing style (4) the obstacles faced during the learning are students have difficulty to find the real facts relating to the material guided inquiry learning model has never been applied students lacked of courage to express their opinions in the discussion and the students do not have the supporting books / module. 12288 12288 12288 12288 Next the researcher suggests that (1) the schools is expected to develop a appropriate learning model in order to fulfill the needs of the students and in accordance with the characteristics of the students in order to increase the quality of learning (2) the teacher should implement this guided inquiry learning model in teaching and learning as well as develop a learning model by providing additional guided inquiry learning media and development learning scenarios to be more innovative and creative (3) students should prepare themselves by learning first before attending the classroom so the students can follow the discussion and increase their bravery in asking questions and giving argument when the class is conducted to have better understanding towards the material studied and (4) other researchers should conduct further research to develop and implement guided inquiry learning model not only for K3LH subject but also for other relevant standard competency.
