Abstract

Acceleration of information stream in the globalization era this time demand all field of life to accommodate vision mission purpose and strategy in order to suitable with requisities and un up to date. Not except in education world national education system must be developed suitable with requisities and development that occur not only in local national but also in global. One of the other government ways to increase quality of education is by establishing new curriculum it is education unity level curriculum which more famous called KTSP. KTSP is the the way to complete curriculum in order to be familiar with teachers because the teachers are more be involved so they are hope to have much responsibility. Completion curriculum which continued is necessity in order to be national education system always relevant and competitive. Right now there are still many teachers who use conventional learning. It is because of the teachers still regard that conventional is the most effective learning which used in the learning process. Eventhough side by side of development era include in education word fineableone of the other learning approximation which is suitable with curriculum that is completed is cooperative learning. One of the other learning models that associated with cooperative learning approximation is Problem Based Learning. Problem Based Learning is a learning approximation that use real world problem as a context for students to study about way to think accurately and skill to solve problem and also to get knowledge and concept that essentral with material of lesson. This examination is Classroom Action Research with two sicluses and use quality approximation. Technics of data collecting that used in this examination involve observation interview field note documentary study and test. The subject that used in this examination is students of Apk class X State Vocational High School I (SMK N I) Turen that consist of 40 students. From 40 students are divided by two groups that each of group consist of 20 students. The first group use conventional learning and the second group use PBL model learning. Based on this examination result it showed that use PBL model learning can increase study result of Apk students class X SMK N I Turen. In this case it can be seen from average of the first ciclus pre test to reach for 58 90 and increase become 71 20 in the post test. Examination result on the second ciclus average pre test to reach for 64 85 and increase become 79 30 on the post test. In the same case occur on the examination result for students who use conventional learning. Based on the first ciclus examination average pre test to reach for 62 35 and increase become 71 05 on the post test. On the second ciclus average pre test is 62 85 and increase become 73 65 on the post test. So it can be said that between PBl model learning and conventional can increase study result of students lesson following safety procedure salvation and healthy of work. But that make different is which PBL model learning raising level study result of students is higher than conventional learning. Based on examination result the suggestion that proposed are (1) PBL model learning has been proved can increase study result of students so for the teachers of lesson following safety procedure salvation and healthy of work and the teachers of the other lesson can use PBL learning (2) for following researcher can be developed to material beside work procedure lesson beside following safety procedure salvation and healthy of work and can be developed for the other school.
