Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia gave an impact on the world of education. Learning needed to be done online at home to minimize the spread of covid through face-to-face class. Sampit is a city in Central Kalimantan that must implement online learning. Therefore this study was conducted to find out EFL Students rsquo and Teachers rsquo Perceptions and Factors of Online Learning During Covid-19 Pandemic. This study was quantitative descriptive survey through online questionnaire using 4-point Likert-scale in google form. The respondents involved 320 students from 6 Junior High Schools in Sampit city. The study results revealed that the implementation of online learning activities tended to completely from home because EFL students and teachers agreed that there were already adequate facilities. However there were still many challenges and obstacles faced by students and teachers that made students and teachers prefer face-to-face meeting than online learning. The factors of online learning during covid-19 pandemic were facilities (internet access devices and instructional media) online learning activities challenges and obstacles and applicability.
