Abstract

Shifting the conventional way of teaching (face-to-face) to online learning policy has ldquo influenced rdquo not only teachers but also students and parents. Thus focusing on Seesaw as media to teach English to young learner during lockdown an online survey was done to 27 parents that had been using the App for more than a month. Though the results were divided into two categories majority of the parents agree that Seesaw was helpful for them during online learning. The ability of Seesaw includes supporting many types of files to be uploaded maintain privacy and replayable lesson materials are loved by parents. However the lack of interactivity and complicated login procedures mostly make majority of parents disagree to continuously implement Seesaw together with conventional teaching. Thus it is suggested for policy makers and educators across the globe that promote online learning as a replacement of the traditional teaching and learning activity should carefully consider the pros and cons it may impose to the family.
