Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Exchange Rate Money Supply and Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) on the Net Asset Value (NAV) of sharia mutual funds from January 2017 to December 2021. This study utilizes monthly data for each variable. This study makes use of Vector Autoregression (VAR) analysis method with Eviews version 9.0. The study s findings imply that (i) According to the Grangger Causality test no factors exhibit a bidirectional causal link with the NAV of Islamic mutual funds. Nevertheless only the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) variable demonstrates a unidirectional causal association with the NAV of sharia mutual funds. (ii) According to the Impulse Reaction Function test the NAV of Sharia Mutual Funds exhibits no stable response to shocks on the variable Rupiah Exchange Rate Amount Money Supply and Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) However variable NAV sharia mutual funds tend to respond favourably to shocks on each variable. (iii) According to the FVED the largest shock-inducing variable is the NAV of the Sharia Mutual Fund itself followed by the Exchange Rate the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) and the Money Supply.
