Abstract

v RINGKASAN Putri Alifa Rizki Nabila. 2018. Pengaruh Ekstrak Daun Srikaya (Annona squamosa) Terhadap Performa Reproduksi dan Perkembangan Embrio Mencit (Mus musculus L) Balb/c. Skripsi Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Malang Pembimbing (I) Dra. Amy Tenzer M.S. (II) Hendra Susanto S.Pd M.Kes. Ph.D. 2018. Effect of Srikaya Leaf Extract (Annona squamosa) on Reproductive Performance and Development of Mice Embryos (Mus musculus L) Balb/c. Thesis Department of Biology Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences State University of Malang Advisor (I) Dra. Amy Tenzer M.S. (II) Hendra Susanto S.Pd M.Kes. Ph.D. Keywords Srikaya Leaf Extract Annona squamosa Reproductive Performance of Mice Development of Mice Embryo. Birth defects are congenital anomalies include congenital malformations deformations and chromosomal abnormalities. The use of certain drugs including herbal remedies can increase the possibility of birth defects. One of the known medicinal plants is srikaya (Annona squamosa) traditionally used for the treatment of epilepsy constipation tumors and cancers in the form of leaf steaming and herbal powder. A fresh infusion from srikaya leaves can be used to treat digestive disorders including constipation during pregnancy. The use of srikaya plants as traditional medicine in the form of herbal medicine powder or stew can be consumed by various groups and it is also possible to be consumed by pregnant women. By seeing the many benefits of srikaya plants as medicinal plants and various contents in them that have the potential to be teratogens such as alkaloids saponins tannins and flavonoids the safety of using srikaya plants as medicine must be accountable especially the safety of use for pregnant women. This research was aimed to find out whether or not the influence of srikaya leaf extract (Annona squamosa) on reproduction performance and embryo development of mice (Mus musculus L) strain Balb/c. This research was conducted from April 2018 until June 2018. The type of research conducted is laboratory experimental with Randomized Block Design. This study used five types of srikaya leaf extract dosage ie 0 mg / 20 g bb 10 mg / 20 g bb 20 mg / 20 g bb 30 mg / 20 g bb and 40 mg / 20 g bb and the extract was carried out orally with the gavage method on the 6th to 15th pregnancy day (along organogenesis). The results of this study showed that srikaya leaf extract (Annona squamosa) had an effect on reproduction performance and embryo development of mice (Mus musculus L) strain Balb/c. The administration of srikaya (Annona squamosa) leaf extract has an effect on reducing fetal weight reducing fetal length causing hemorrhage on the back chest abdomen and decreasing the amount of reinforcement which means slowing down ossification of the vertebral body anterior autopodium and posterior autopodium in the mice. This research is expected to be able to find the teratogenic doses of srikaya leaf extract in humans so that the use of srikaya leaf extract on pregnant women can be watched out.
