YouTube is a useful learning media for improving students English proficiency. This research is intended to know students perception of the use of YouTube in improving their English proficiency at Universitas Negeri Malang during the COVID-19 pandemic. The respondents were the second-semester English Language Teaching students at Universitas Negeri Malang 94 students in total. The students have been using YouTube for learning since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The researcher gathered data through the use of questionnaires. The questionnaire comprises of 12 questions and is designed to investigate how the students used YouTube to improve their English proficiency during COVID-19 pandemic. The questionnaire was assessed using a Likert scale. The findings suggest that the majority of students believed that using YouTube to improve their English proficiency would be really beneficial. According to the survey s findings they agreed that studying English via YouTube would help them expand their vocabulary grammar pronunciation and fluency. YouTube was a valuable media for improving students language skills during the COVID-19 pandemic.
