Abstract

This study aims to investigate eleventh graders rsquo perception of using Google Classroom for teaching in distance learning at Senior High School (SMAN) 1 at Batu East Java Indonesia. Students of 6 classes of Natural Sciences Major 5 classes of Social Sciences Major and 1 classof Language Studies Major with the total of 422 students are the population of the study. The method used was descriptive quantitative and the data were collected using an online questionnaire in form of Google Form which was distributed through Whatsapp. There were 20 statements which were scored on 4 points Likert scale focusing on (1) usefulness of Google Clasroom (2) ease of Google Classroom (3) students rsquo acceptance toward Google Classroom and (4) actual use of Google Classroom. The results of this studyshow that 89.5% of the students gave positive perceptions toward the use of Google Classroom during distance learning. The highest positive responses of the students are on four statements. The first is that Google classroom is very useful in distance learning process. Second Google Classroom is easy to use.Third using Google Classroom in distance learning is very convenient. Last students use Google Classroom frequently.
