Abstract

Abstract the objectives of this study are 1) to describe the types of oriented characters (HOTS) through the relevance of learning in schools 2) describe the teacher rsquo s strategy to from oriented character (HOTS)through the relevance of learning 3) explain the involvement of parents in shaping the character of students at home 4) explain the pattern of cooperation between teachers and parents in character building. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of case study. The location of this research is at peleyan 2 public elemantary school kapongan district situbondo regency. The data wes generated through interviews observation and documentation then analyzed using qualitative descriptive through the stages data collection data reduction presentation and verification of data. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques and sources. This study resulted that the school applied the type of character that was applied namely independent religious character curiosity honesty discipline responsbility programmed in learning the teacher rsquo s strategy is to shape character by being relevant to his daily life. The involvement of parents shapes the character into various learning roles for children at home. The pattern of cooperation berween teachers and parents mutual support for school programs and strengthening communication. Keywords character building higher order thinking skills learning Abstrak tujuan penelitian ini yaitu 1) mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis karakter berorientasi (HOTS) melalui relevansi pembelajaran di sekolah 2) mendeskripsikan strategi guru membentuk karakter berorientasi (HOTS) melalui relevansi pembelajaran 3) menjelaskan keterlibatan orang tua dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di rumah 4) menjelaskan pola kerja sama guru dan orang tua dalam pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian ini di SDN 2 Peleyan Kecamatan Kapongan Kabupaten Situbondo. Data dihasilkan melalui wawancara observasi dan dokumentasi serta dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif melalui tahapan pengumpulan data reduksi data penyajian dan verifikasi data. Pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi teknik dan sumber. penelitian ini dihasilkan bahwa sekolah menerapkan Jenis karakter yang diterapkan yakni karakter religius mandiri rasa ingin tahu jujur disiplin tanggung jawab terprogram dalam pembelajaran. strategi guru membentuk karakter dengan merelevansikan dengan keseharaiannya. Keterlibatan orang tua membentuk karakter menjadi berbagai peran belajar anak dirumah. Pola kerja sama guru dan orang tua saling mendukung program sekolah dan menguatkan komunikasi.
