This study aims to provide an evaluation of what extent this book determines the level of cognitive and knowledge in its contents so that in the future it can be further developed in order to achieve learning outcomes. This study analyzed an English course book grade seventh used in Tulungagung Junior High Schools based on Revised Bloom rsquo s Taxonomy. It used descriptive research as the design of the study and content analysis as the method to analyze the course book content in each section/activity of the chapters of the English course book titled Buku Pendamping SMP Bahasa Inggris Untuk Siswa SMP Kelas VII 2018 designed by MGMP (the association of subject teachers) Tulungagung according to Revised Bloom rsquo s Taxonomy. The study showed the most dominant cognitive domain was Analyzing level (C4) that had frequencies 60 out of 200 instructional activities and the percentage was 30%.While the dominant knowledge dimension was Factual Knowledge with the frequencies 102 out of 200 and had percentage 51%. For stakeholders it is important for them to pay more attention to which level of cognitive and knowledge they want to focus on to determine the material in the content of the textbook. In addition it can be a benchmark or standard of students rsquo learning achievement.
